Victory Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Spain’s hardcore crew We Ride, with “Empowering Life” coming out on April 14th. Today, the band shares a video for “Self Made,” which can be seen below.

Helmed by front-woman Mimi Telmo, We Ride self-produced and released a first demo in 2009, followed by first full-length album “Directions” in 2010. With the well-received acclaim of next release, 2012’s “On The Edge,” We Ride quickly gained fans around the world while igniting pits alongside H2O, Comeback Kid, Madball, Bane, and many others in over 30 countries worldwide.

“Signing with Victory Records is the reward of seven years of hard work and also a motivator to deliver the goods,” promises Telmo. “It has not been easy to be taken seriously in a man’s world. Especially in today’s political climate, it is beyond critical that women support each other. I want to be a positive figure for females involved in the hardcore punk scene. Personally, it has been difficult at times, many feeling offended there being a front-girl in hardcore. ‘Self Made’ is about breaking the stereotypes. Victory is the label that wrote the book on hardcore and it’s an incredible feeling to be a part of it. This is just the beginning and we are here to stay.”

We Ride hit the studio in 2016 with Alex Cappa at Metal Factory Studios outside Madrid, and the album was mixed in early 2017 by Cameron Webb (Motorhead, NOFX). The ten track blitzkrieg features Deez Nuts front-man JJ Peters on the track “What You Are.”

1. Voices
2. Self-Made
3. What You Are (featuring JJ Peters of Deez nuts)
4. Time Is Now
5. Do It All Again
6. Summer
7. I’mpossible
8. Everybody Matters
9. Endless Hopes
10. Hands Off

Kreyskull introduces us to the “Cosmic Scavenger” today with a new music video directed by the band and Tino-Viljami Vanhala. Check out the clip below, taken off “The Bird Of Bad Weather” due for release via Sliptrick Records on March 15th. The label comments:

“A beautiful, discordant slab of demented doom bliss, this is the first chance to hear material from ‘The Bird Of Bad Weather,’ the upcoming album by Finnish doom rockers Kreyskull …and boy, it’s a doozy. The track ‘Cosmic Scavenger’ is everything you could want from the band and a whole lot more.

“This song is twisted, churning, heavy and when a saxophone improbably wanders around over the finishing (no pun intended) stretch, we’ve definitely hit cosmic! The lyrics are an ode to science fiction/conspiracy theories, telling us ‘if you know too much…you`ll simply disappear’ and the video adds another layer of wit to the proceeding without taking anything away from the sheer power and coolness of the tune. This is the real deal, check it out below.”

International metal superstars DragonForce have revealed details for their forthcoming, new studio album. Reaching Into Infinity will be released in the USA via Metal Blade Records on May 19th.

Recording the bulk of the album at Fascination Street Studios, Sweden, with producer Jens Bogren, the band also laid down tracks while touring their Killer Elite best of album, utilizing Lamerluser Studios, (London, UK), Dark Lane Studios (Witney, UK), as well as the band’s own Evil1 Studios in Charleville-Mezieres, France and Shredforce One Studios (CA, USA).

“We were flying out, playing a festival, then back into the studio, then back out again,” explains bass player Frederic Leclercq, who also handled the majority of songwriting on this album.“It was very intense and very tiring. I obviously played bass but also a lot of rhythm guitar, electric and acoustic, and lost my temper a few times – I think we all did at some point, because we wanted to deliver nothing but the best.”

For their seventh studio album, DragonForce has opened up their sound like never before, capturing the fierce, forlorn and fun with both menace and melody.

“I think we have proven that playing fast was something we were good at, so this time I wanted to bring even more diversity into our music,” Fred continues. “It’s great to challenge ourselves instead of staying in a comfort zone, and I really wanted to experiment with Marc’s vocals. I think people are going to be surprised at his brutality!”

The first album to feature Gee Anzalone, the Italian drummer has laid down an insanely impressive performance to provide the perfect backbone to the DragonForce sound, which of course still boasts the band’s trademark insanely-fast solos, courtesy of guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.

The band will give USA fans their first taste of the new songs at Chicago Open Air on July 15th at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL. For more information about Chicago Open Air, please visit: chicagoopenair.com. Additional USA dates will be announced soon!

“The title of the album explains pretty much what we are trying to do with our music,” Fred concludes. “Today’s world is really crazy – there is fear of the future, uncertainty. But the power of music is infinite, and it can give strength and hope to people.”

On February 24th, Six Feet Under returns with their 12th studio album, Torment, and a new leap in intensity. There’s plenty of classic Six Feet Under groove to be had on Torment, but fans will note a much more aggressive approach, and even more blast beats throughout. This is a cantankerous Six Feet Under with absolutely nothing to prove. This is Six Feet Under at their most deadly.

To hear the new album track, “The Separation of Flesh from Bone”, please visit: youtube.com. The first single, “Sacrificial Kill”, plus a guitar and bass play-through video for “Exploratory Homicide” (by the band’s own Jeff Hughell!) can be viewed at: metalblade.com/sixfeetunder – where Torment can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:
–CD
–180g black vinyl
–cannabis-green vinyl (limited to 420 copies – EU exclusive)
–clear/black-marbled vinyl (limited to 300 copies – EU exclusive)
–red/orange vinyl (limited to 200 copies – EMP exclusive)
–white vinyl (limited to 200 copies – USA exclusive)
*exclusive USA bundles with a shirt, flag, bite kit, and sign, plus digital options are also available! European fans can pre-order an exclusive hoodie and digipak.

Torment was brought to life by Chris Barnes with bassist/guitarist Jeff Hughell (Brain Drill) shouldering the load of writing the music, along with heralded drummer Marco Pitruzzella (Brain Drill, Anomalous, Sleep Terror). The combination of Barnes’ multi-decade death metal experience and the speed and precision of Hughell and Pitruzzella’s relative youth go a long way to cementing this as a solid foundation for high level death metal. Chris Barnes elaborates: “I’ve been lucky to have a lot of standout albums in my career. That’s only because I’ve had a great many talented writing partners and musicians to collaborate with. Our new album, ‘Torment‘, to me, is one of those albums. Jeff Hughell has provided the flammable material for me to write some explosive lyrics and vocal parts to. I know people always say, ‘this is my best album ever’, and I won’t say that, because everyone has their own favorites, but I do enjoy creating new music, and I feel as though with this one we expressed concisely and to the fullest the duality of our music.”
