Pitch Black Records today announces the addition of female-fronted U.S. / Canadian symphonic power metal act Insatia into its artist roster for the release of the band’s second album, “Phoenix Aflame,” due out on June 23rd, 2017.

Formed in 2009 and fronted by charismatic vocalist Zoe Federoff, the band released its self-produced debut album “Asylum Denied” in 2013 and has since then opened for multiple international acts, including Sonata Arctica and Dark Tranquility.

Pitch Black comments: “The band’s upcoming release ‘Phoenix Aflame’ is a melodic power metal album with masterfully blended folk and symphonic elements. To top it all off Federoff’s amazing vocal work adds a spectacular dimension to the album’s already superb atmosphere and aesthetic.

“Producers Fabio D’Amore (Serenity) and Ivan Moni Bidin (Starsick System, Pathosray, Last Warning), joined by Staffan Karlsson (known for his work with Arch Enemy, Firewind, Roxette and many other notable acts) have surpassed all expectations in producing this album as the end result is simply outstanding!

“The album features guest performances by Apollo Papathanasio (ex-Firewind, Spiritual Beggars), Chris Amott (ex-Arch Enemy, Armageddon), Christian Hermsderfer (ex-Visions Of Atlantis, Serenity) and Erica James (The Erica James Band) as well as the astonishing artwork of talented artist Gogo Melone.”

Decrepit Birth is set to release first new album in seven years, “Axis Mundi,” on July 21st via Agonia Records (Europe / ROW) and Nuclear Blast Records (North America).

“Epigenic Triplicity” is the first single to be revealed from the record – check out the track in the form of a 360 degree VR lyric video below.

“We’ve gone through an evolution throughout the years” says founding member and primary songwriter Matt Sotelo. “The last couple of albums we had, ‘Diminishing Between Worlds’ and ‘Polarity,’ were more progressive death metal. They were different from’ …And Time Begins,’ which is a different genre of death metal.

“It’s more brutal. I’m the type of guy who likes to experiment. ‘…And Time Begins’ has no solos. It’s all really fast palm-muted riffs. The other albums breathed more with the guitars. I let chords ring out on Diminishing Between Worlds and Polarity. Axis Mundi is combination of all the stuff I’m into. I like it a lot right now. It’s more melodic. The riffs repeat intentionally. I want to have fun with these songs.”

“I don’t know if we’re going to re-shape death metal,” he continues, “We’re just a band. We’re doing this. We’re fans of the genre. We do our own thing with it. It’s our own paint job. What sounds cool to us. We don’t aspire to be the most technical band out there. The technicality isn’t our main goal. Technicality is part of what we are. When we were writing this album, we wanted the songs that had riffs that repeat. There’s more structure with our new stuff. We’re trying to write good music. We want to entertain people out there. Hopefully, everybody likes ‘Axis Mundi.’”

1. Vortex of Infinity…Axis Mundi
2. Spirit Guide
3. The Sacred Geometry
4. Hieroglyphic
5. Transcendental Paradox
6. Mirror of Humanity
7. Ascendant
8. Epigenetic Triplicity
9. Embryogenesis
10. Orion
11. Desprate Cry
12. Infecting the Crypts

LA industrial group 3Teeth today released “Shutdown.exe” on OMF Records. Fans can now purchase and stream the record at all digital retailers and indie record stores – listen in below.

Over the last few years, 3Teeth has quickly evolved from a provocative underground act to a band on the cusp of becoming one of rock’s most exciting new bands. 2016 found the group opening for the likes of Tool, and this year that meteoric rise continues with the release of 2nd full-length album, “Shutdown.exe.”

Self-produced by the band, mixed by Sean Beavan, and mastered by Howie Wienberg, the new album is a brooding record that seethes with relentless aggression and unrepentant attitude.

The band will embark on spring/summer tour in late May supporting the album, which kicks off with a performance at Blackest of the Black Festival in Silverado, CA and includes dates with Rammstein and headlining shows across the country.

Tickets on sale now, plus hotel discounts available

Set to take place from August 18th through August 20th (with a pre-party on August 17th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada), Psycho Las Vegas 2017 will see the legendary King Diamond perform the Abigail album in its entirety as a USA-exclusive show for 2017. Other headliners at the festival include Mastodon, Neurosis, Corrosion of Conformity, among countless other bands as support. It is already – and rightly so – being hailed as one of the best heavy lineups ever put together for an American festival.

Last year, Dig Boston lauded Psycho Las Vegas for boasting “one of the most amazing festival lineups” to-date. BrooklynVegan praised the event as both “fun [and] weird” with a sound quality that was “absolutely top-level,” while Las Vegas Review Journal celebrated the festival’s “communal, come-as-you-are vibe,” adding that “the whole weekend had the feel of a heavy-metal family gathering meets ‘The Big Lebowski’; a laid-back get-together with an ensemble cast of far-out characters, from gray-haired dudes in Captain Beefheart T-shirts to Yeti-shaggy heavy-metal epicureans…Noisey concurred, hailing Psycho Las Vegas for fulfilling “every hesher’s fantasy of wandering around the Hard Rock Hotel stoned out of your mind while alternating between gambling, getting wasted, smoking cigarettes indoors, eating Mexican food, flaunting tattoos, and, of course, watching a seemingly endless onslaught of metal bands perform.

And this year, Psycho Las Vegas will only up the proverbial ante with exclusive 2017 USA appearances by French progressive rock unit Magma, black metallers Abbath led by former Immortal guitarist/vocalist Abbath Doom Occulta, and cult stoner/desert rock unit Slo Burn, fronted by Kyuss‘ John Garcia. Additionally, Mulatu Astatke, the father of Ethio-jazz, will be making his west of Chicago exclusive appearance, while Manilla Road, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary, will perform their classic Crystal Logic in its entirety as a worldwide exclusive for Psycho Las Vegas.
