An unfinished demo track which will be included on the upcoming 13th album from Malevolent Creation can be streamed via YouTube below. The release will feature the band’s current lineup, consisting of founding member and guitarist Phil Fasciana alongside new additions Lee Wollenschlaeger (vocals, guitar), Phil Cancilla (drums) and Josh L. Gibbs (bass).

Fasciana states about the group’s latest incarnation:

“After receiving so many great videos and songs from singers wanting to take over the vocal position after the departure of original vocalist Bret Hoffman, I finally have found the right man for the job. I received a few songs from Lee Wollenschlaeger and his solo project Imperial Empire and was so impressed that after a lot of conversations and hearing his own compositions and demos of him singing Malevolent Creation songs, I could not deny his talent.

“The demo song posted below is one of his songs that I really liked and told him we could work with his song for the next Malevolent Creation album and let people hear our new vocalist and his talent. He is also playing guitar in the band, which makes us now a four-piece. To prove my commitment to him that he is now the vocalist, I posted this demo song that he wrote and that is being re-recorded as we speak so he can re-write the lyrics and I can lay down a couple guitar solos for this song. We will be posting some more music with Lee Wollenschlaeger singing Malevolent Creation songs, and between the music i have written for the next album and his music, as well as our bassist and drummer who both write music as well, we now have a band that is dedicated to record the heaviest Malevolent Creation album yet.”

Canadian horror inspired symphonic power metallers Malacoda have signed a multi-album deal with Rockshots Records. Their latest EP “Ritualis Aeterna”, will be re-released and distributed worldwide on January 19, 2018.

Malacoda’s followup to their self-titled debut, the band explores darker and more symphonic territories with Ritualis Aeterna. All songs deal with an aspect of horror in some form, whether it be horror as a timeless form of entertainment, or dealing with horrors in every day life, the short EP touches a wide range of content. Keyboard virtuoso Jonah Weingarten (Pyramaze) has joined forces with the band, adding a new potent weapon to the band’s sonic arsenal. “Ritualis Aeterna” is a mix of the band’s existing blend of melody and crunch but with an added dose of dark atmosphere“.

Having unleashed their debut album “Shurpu” digitally on November 17th, Denver symphonic black metal trio Sar Isatum announce their signing to both Exalted Woe Records and Death Portal Studio for distribution of the physical CD release of the full length on December 22nd.

Check out now “Shurpu” in its entirety below.

“We are honored to announce that we made a distribution deal for the first print of our album with Death Portal Studio and Exalted Woe Records. They have a lot of great bands on each of their rosters and we thank Zach and Anthony for their support and contributions to this release.” comments drummer JP Dalkhu.

Creating music for themselves, not copying what has come before, fans of various styles of black metal will find much to appreciate in Sar Isatum’s debut album “Shurpu”. The release features seven blistering tracks that are ethereal, nefarious, abhorrent, and cryptic. The concept of the album is a loose collection of stories told from an omnipotent source to establish Sar Isatum, the Lord’s of fire perception of the world and thusly announce their entry into it through “Shurpu” a purification by fire.

“The album is a visceral piece of music, tight aggressive black metal that has punishingly brutal moments. The haunting keys give space to the musical assault and provide atmosphere with vocals that invoke a spirit of war.” adds Dalkhu.

Bangladesh’s thrash metal band, Exalter has surfaced late this year to give us a brand new full length packed with its trademark style of old school thrash. Carrying on in the style that they cemented on their infamous ‘Obituary for the Living’ release, now completely sold out, they’ve worked on their structuring some more and give us an equally enjoyable and even more memorable album in ‘Persecution Automated’. With its infallible foundation in Teutonic and in parts even early Canadian thrash metal sound, Exalter are poised to become one of the strongest contenders for Asia’s burgeoning thrash metal scene.

You can check out another new track called “The Dreaded End” below.

Swedish Black Metal band Grafvitnir have announced the December 15 Carnal Records release of new album Keys to the Mysteries Beyond. A promo video for the album’s opening track, “Nidhögg,” is available below.

The driving force behind the band is, and has always been, Occultism and the never-ending quest for the enigmatic emerald of Lucifer. Just like razor sharp claws of a Werewolf move and twists against whirling moonlit Night Skies, the ice-cold blades of Occultism will tear the illusion of the demiurg’s false Creation apart and fiercely widen the cracks and crevices to the ancient kingdom of Beyond.

With the band’s fifth album, Grafvitnir are back from the frostbitten shadows of Scandinavia to eternally ignite the concealed spiritual Fire of the descendants of the Serpent, and to obtain the ancient Keys to the Mysteries Beyond.

Track Listing

1. Nidhögg
2. Key to the Mysteries Beyond
3. Vargavinter
4. Crossing the Abyss
5. Eternity’s Glistening Black
6. Journey into Storms
7. Unleash the Storm of Nothingness
8. Eye of Lucifer
9. Whispers of the Primordial Sea
10. Glimpses of the Unseeable
