Italian/Norwegian hard-industrial-electro extreme metallers ABORYM, who feature in ther ranks Fabban and Paolo Pieri (HOUR OF PENANCE) along with drummer Bård G. “Faust” Eithun (BLOOD TSUNAMI, MONGO NINJA, ex-EMPEROR), have inked a new deal with Agonia Records. Details on band’s seventh full-length album, the follow-up to 2013′s “Dirty”, are yet to be announced.

ABORYM is currently working on a new video for the song “Bleedthrough”, taken from “Dirty”. The clip is being directed by Andrea Malkavian and the Victorlab crew.

ABORYM‘s “Dirty” video can be seen below. Directed by Alberto Falcone, the clip features all three band members as well as actors, and, according to frontman and founder Fabban, the title of the track pretty much sums up the subject matter of the video.

ABORYM‘s sixth full-length album, “Dirty”, was released on May 28, 2013 in Europe and June 11, 2013 in North America via Agonia Records. The 10-track double album (cover below) was made available in digipak, jewel case and gatefold double LP formats.

“Dirty” was recorded at the Fear No One Studios in Italy with Emiliano Natali, reprising his sound engineer role from the band’s “Psychogrotesque” album, and was helmed by Marc Urselli of New York’s Eastside Sound Studio, who previously worked with the likes of Mike Patton and Lou Reed. The electronic part of the album was engineered by D. Loop (KEBABTRAUME, LIMBO). R.G. Narchost (STORMCROW, DEMON’S SHADE, DROWNING ASHES) created “The Spiral Shaped Chamber” custom sounds library for the band. Artwork for the album is by ABORYM‘s Fabban.

The first CD of the album features new material, while the second CD features two tracks from previous albums, which have been completely re-arranged and re-recorded, covers of tracks by IRON MAIDEN, PINK FLOYD and NINE INCH NAILS, and a previously unreleased track performed by both musicians such as Agonia BV, Tamara Picardo, Samuel Heru Ra Ha MK, Hostis, Ulven, Mike Bizzini, David Cholasta, Tobias Dünnebacke, Jonathan Butcher, Jessy Lavallee, Thomas Hochstetler, Mary J. Rooks, Amanda Neilson and Mark Llewellyn, as well as several fans. The song was written by Alberto Penzin (CO2, ex-SCHIZO) and was spliced together from all the different sources.

U.K.-based avant-garde metal outfit CODE will release its third album, “Augur Nox”, on November 19 in Europe and November 26 in North America via Agonia Records.

“Augur Nox” is the first album featuring CODE‘s new lineup of Aort, Wacian, Syhr, LORDt and Andras. The brand-new material demonstrates the band’s fresh personnel in a vivid light, confirming CODE‘s position as a radiant gem in the extreme metal world. It displays a multifaceted approach: from stunning wide-ranging vocals, otherworldly clean passages, and barbed metallic riffery, all filtered through a refined prism of avant-garde black metal. The album is CODE‘s most progressive effort to date, yet always captures the band’s distinct eerie and arcane vibe.

Featuring ten tracks and 2 interludes over a 55-minute playing time, “Augur Nox” is a bold step forward where acute songwriting and expansive experimentation go hand in hand.

CODE‘s sound has been both refined and exaggerated at the same time, to produce a melodically dense and ambitious piece of work. The band describes the forthcoming release as their “most dynamic and challenging material to date.”

“Augur Nox” was mixed and mastered at Orgone Studios (GHOST, CATHEDRAL, ULVER) in London after three years of development and pre-production.

“Augur Nox” track listing:

01. Black Rumination
02. Becoming Host
03. Ecdysis
04. Glimlight Tourist
- Dx. (interlude)
05. Garden Chancery
06. The Lazarus Cord
07. The Shrike Screw
- Rx. (interlude)
08. Trace of God
09. Harmonies in Cloud
10. White Tryptych

The song “Glimlight Tourist” can be streamed in the YouTube clip below.

The vinyl formats include: black vinyl, color in color vinyl (bone white/ultra clean) limited to 100 copies and a further 100 copies on swamp green/ultra clean color in colour vinyl.

Experimental metal act EPHEL DUATH will return with its first album in five years, “Hemmed By Light, Shaped By Darkness”, on November 19 in Europe and November 26 in North America via Agonia Records.

A video trailer for the CD featuring album artwork created by visionary artists Dehn Sora and Aeron Alfrey can be seen below.

Ignited by commitment and passion, “Hemmed By Light, Shaped By Darkness” is a multi-layered hybrid of death metal, jazz and post rock, and a strong statement from a band never bounded by rules. With intuition set as the only significant parameter, EPHEL DUATH takes an uncompromising will to experiment, to a whole new level of intensity.

“This album holds together all that EPHEL DUATH‘s music has touched in the last fifteen years and pushes its boundaries even further,” comments EPHEL DUATH mainman Davide Tiso. “Lyrically, the new songs dig deep in higher self subject matters, combining brutally visual imagery with a painfully honest soul-searching quest.”

Featuring eight new songs and reaching over 50 minutes of total length, “Hemmed By Light, Shaped By Darkness” includes a unique line-up of: Marco Minnemann (KREATOR, NECROPHAGIST, JOE SATRIANI) behind the drums, Bryan Beller (DETHKLOK, JOE SATRIANI) on bass, lead singer Karyn Crisis (CRISIS) along with Tiso. The album was produced by Erik Rutan (CANNIBAL CORPSE, HATE ETERNAL) at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Studios in New York.

A trailer for “Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls”, the fifth album from France’s avantgarde black metallers GLORIOR BELLI, can be seen below. The CD will be released on October 29 in Europe and November 12 in North America via Agonia Records.

Climbing the ladder of innovation and artistic development, GLORIOR BELLI managed to work out a very own sound and view in the often stiff frames found within the black metal genre. Descriptions such as “avant-garde black metal bluesmen” (Pitchfork) or “bluesy doom-sludge” (MetalSucks) are only the two sides of the same coin that is about to reveal a new flip.

“Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls” is yet another milestone of an unusual relationship between southern stylistics and crushing heaviness, all tied up and sealed by a twisted yet still refreshing take on music, straight from the suburbs of Paris.

The follow-up to 2011′s “The Great Southern Darkness” (Metal Blade) will be available as digipack CD, 12-inch vinyl and digitally.

“Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls” track listing:

01. Blackpowder Roars
02. Wolves At My Door
03. Ain’t No Pit Deep Enough
04. A Hoax, A Croc!
05. From One Rebel To Another
06. I Asked For Wine, He Gave Me Blood
07. The South Will Always Know My Name
08. Le Blackout Blues
09. Backwoods Bayou
10. Built For Discomfort
11. Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls

French death/black metallers TEMPLE OF BAAL will release their fourth full-length album, “Verses Of Fire”, on October 22 in Europe and November 12 in North America via Agonia Records.

According to a press release, “Verses Of Fire”‘s “sound has been carefully manufactured by Andrew Guillotin in Hybreed Studios. Focusing on a more organic side thanks to the use of tube amps and natural drums, the production allows the natural old-school feeling of the band to shine through the whole album. Through ten tracks — lasting about an hour — TEMPLE OF BAAL explores a wide spectre of extreme metal: from the raging blast beats or the furious ‘Bloodangel’, to the thrashing mayhem of ‘Golden Wings Of Azazel’ or the double-bass-drum mid-tempo of ‘Lord Of The Raging Seas’. Eerie, haunting black metal vibes are never neglected, though: ‘The Tenth Aethyr’ or the conclusive, nine-minute epic ‘Walls Of Fire’ bring the band back to their primal influence — the sinister sounds of early ’90s black/death metal.”

This new album will be available as digipack CD, limited double LP and extra-limited gold LP (66 copies only).

The band comments: “We’ve always seen black metal as the sacred music of the ‘other side,’ and this album is sacred to its very core. All its music and lyrics have been created after long hours of meditation and spiritual works. We are a temple, a place of worship, and this aspect drips through each and every minute of those ‘Verses Of Fire’.”
