Asking Alexandria: The UK’s bright young hopes?

Congrats to the Asking Alexandria guys for landing a top ten album stateside with From Death To Destiny. The UK metalcore heavyweights’ third album landed at a hugely respectable number 6, which ain’t too shabby at all.

Bullet For My Valentine have hinted that they’ll be going bigger and heavier on the follow-up to this year’s Temper Temper.

“Basically, we’re gonna go a lot heavier next time,” frontman Matt Tuck tells EMP Rock Invasion. “We just think we’ve kind of done what we wanted to do with [producer] Don [Gilmore]. We just don’t wanna do the same thing again. So now we kind of went from heavy to kind of thrashy to kind of hard rock records.

“And now we wanna kind of bring a bit more of a thrash metal element back into the sound, really. We wanna kind of go Master Of Puppets-y. Instead of cutting the songs down and making them simple, we wanna make them really complicated next time.”
