Swedish metal veterans ENTOMBED have inked a deal with Century Media Records. The band’s new album, “Back To The Front”, will be released on October 29 (one day earlier internationally). Check out the CD cover artwork below.

ENTOMBED recently teamed up with PledgeMusic to launch a reissue campaign for some of their albums.

In earl 2012, Threeman Recordings, which is owned and run by members of ENTOMBED, launched a collaboration with Ninetone Records. The first release under this arrangement was a single for the re-recorded version of the song “Amok” from ENTOMBED‘s 2007 album, “Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments”, produced by Patrik Frisk (CORRODED).

“Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments” was released in the U.S. on July 31, 2007 via Candlelight/Threeman Recordings. The 10-song effort marked the group’s first release with drummer Olle Dahlstedt (ALPHA SAFARI, ex-MISERY LOVES CO.), who replaced Peter Stjärnvind in 2006. Mastering duties were handled by Soren Elofsson at Cosmos Mastering in Stockholm, Sweden.

“Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments” entered the Swedish national chart at position No. 3. This was the highest chart position in the band’s career.

The current lineup of ENTOMBED features Victor Brandt (TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER, AEON, SATYRICON) and second guitarist Nico Elgstrand (who previously played bass for the group).

EMPEROR frontman Ihsahn will release his new solo album, “Das Seelenbrechen”, on October 22. The cover artwork for the CD can be seen below.

Ihsahn‘s April 21 performance at this year’s edition of the Roadburn festival at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland was professionally recorded and can now be streamed using the audio player below.

Ihsahn‘s debut solo album, “The Adversary”, was re-released as a limited two-LP edition, including layout by Trine + Kim Design Studio, last November via Blood Music.

“The Adversary” was originally released in April 2006 via Mnemosyne/Candlelight Records.

All music and lyrics for “The Adversary” were written and performed by Ihsahn with exception of drums, which were played by Asgeir Mickelson (BORKNAGAR, SPIRAL ARCHITECT).

“The Adversary” was written and recorded over a one-year period at Symphonique Studios in Norway and features a guest appearance by Garm from ULVER on one song.

Ihsahn‘s fourth album, “Eremita”, sold around 900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 32 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Las Vegas-based doomsters Demon Lung have now completed initial recordings for their debut album at Sharkbite Studios, in Oakland, California. The album is currently being mixed by Billy Anderson at his studio in Portland, Oregon with an anticipated release late this Spring. Las Vegas Weekly recently included Demon Lung on its “Top 10 Local Bands To Watch In 2013.” Drummer Jeremy Brenton confirmed to the newspaper that the album will be a concept about “the long begotten son of Satan, who’s been sent to earth to assemble the three parts of the devil’s bible so that we can speak the name of god in reverse and undo creation.” He adds, “when you say it out loud it’s pretty funny, but it’s some pretty epic shit.” Candlelight announced the signing of Demon Lung on November 28th
