Not a lot of blab for ya this week, gang. Been a hard, hard way to go lately and simply pushing through it all with forced grins.

A great big thank you to both Bruce Kulick and Mary Forsberg Weiland for keeping my spirits up with our fun interviews this past week. Getting to thank Bruce for throwing me a pick during Kiss’ Crazy Nights tour was one of the items on my mental checklist finally notched up. Mary is also a sweet person and given her busy schedule following the release of her book Fall to Pieces, I’m honored for the time she graciously gave me for the interview, which ought to be running at shortly. Also be looking for the Bruce Kulick interview anytime now at Dee Snider’s House of Hair Online. While you’re there, check out my interview with Living Colour’s Corey Glover.

Back at Fango, I reviewed the reissue of King Diamond’s House of God this week and more are heading over in that direction, so please bounce in over yonders as you would here. Heavy Metal is running my best-of lists along with the rest of the staff, so take a peek there if ya please. Over here, The Metal Minute’s Up to the Minute awards ought to be slinking in soon.

And as always, friends, grazi…

Greetings as always, faithful readers! Can someone gimme a stopwatch, already? Dang, what a fast seven since we last got-together for our audile check-in…

Hope everyone’s Halloween was good! This was the first one I stayed home for in awhile, which was well-spent with our family crashed with us at Casa del Van Horn for some chili, dogs and horror flicks. The boy prowled the streets as a dragon and I was very proud of “Rawwwwwwrrrr!” He worked on it quite hard during the day. Then again, if you have children, you know that “Rawwwwwwrrrrr!” comes naturally, Halloween dress-up or no… I consider the Lizzy Borden Halloween show I attended a couple years back one of the finest spook holidays I’ve ever had, but this simplistic evening of controlled chaos was equally sweet.

A very rewarding past week as I spent time with Corey Glover of Living Colour and Laurent Lebec of Pelican, both of whom gave me very in-depth interviews. I’m looking forward to another chat with Spider of Powerman 5000 this week in a Take 5 session for this very spot at ye olde Metal Minute. Still waiting to get a few other guests booked for the Take 5 chair inlcuding Winds of Plague and Skyfire, plus an extra special rocker I’ll keep on the hush until I know he’s official.

This week at the site expect a review from yours truly of Fireball Ministry’s reissue of The Second Great Awakening, while my ace in the hole for the week Alex Gilbert will be digging into the new Collective Soul album. I’m also striving to sequester myself and examine the new Mayhem documentary DVD Pure Fucking Mayhem. This appears to hone in on the facts surrounding black metal’s most controversial groups in history, so stay tuned for that.

Over at you can find my recent reviews of The Company Band’s debut full-length, plus Andreas Kisser’s Hubris I & II. At I have reviews of the latest from Pelican, Nocturnal Fear and Ed Warby of Gorefest’s impressive side project The 11th Hour. Also be on the lookout any day now for my crazy interview with Lita Ford and Jim Gillette running over at Dee Snider’s House of Hair Online.

A heftier load of music this week (amen) with Halloween festivities and a raw determination to find those quiet hours to pound out the tunes. Let’s give Living Colour’s latest the top spin honors as I dove deeper into it following my review here in preparation of the Corey Glover interview.

As always, my friends, this site stays alive because of you. My continued gratitude for your support and another welcome to the generous influx of new arrivals. Bring along what ails ya and get comfy…
