An EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for “Symphony Of Sin”, the fourth studio album from multinational melodic metallers EDEN’S CURSE, can be seen below.

“Symphony Of Sin” will be released on October 4 via AFM Records. Produced by Paul Logue and mixed and mastered by the group’s longtime engineer, PINK CREAM 69 and UNISONIC bassist Dennis Ward, the CD is the first EDEN’S CURSE release with new Serbian vocalist Nikola Mijic (ALOGIA, DREYELANDS) and Welsh keyboard wizard and POWER QUEST mainman Steve Williams.

The cover artwork for “Symphony Of Sin” was once again created again by Thomas Ewerhard (EDGUY, AVANTASIA, JORN) and marks the return of a familar face in “Eve,” who previously graced EDEN’S CURSE‘s debut album cover.

“Symphony Of Sin” track listing:

01. Symphony Of Sin
02. Break The Silence
03. Evil & Divine
04. Unbreakable
05. Fallen From Grace
06. Losing My Faith
07. Rock Bottom
08. Great Unknown
09. Turn The Page
10. Sign Of The Cross
11. Wings To Fly
12. Devil In Disguise
13. Where Is The Love?

The “Evil & Divine” video can be seen below. The clip was shot on location at the famous St. Andrews in the Square location in Glasgow under the direction of Ryan Priddy and his team at Independent Element.

Hailing from Senta, in the North of Serbia, Nikola is a vastly experienced singer despite his tender years. For the past ten years, he has been fronting Serbian outfit ALOGIA and more recently Hungarian prog rockers DREYELANDS, who released their debut album on Lion Music in 2010. In 2008, he also featured heavily on the prog rock project album “Expedition Delta”.

Said Nikola: “I’m really honored to be part of the metal journey of EDEN’S CURSE with their new upcoming album that is coming out on 4th October and I’m looking forward to rock with you guys!”

Added EDEN’S CURSE drummer Pete Newdeck: “For me, when I heard a lot of the auditions, Nik‘s was the one that stood out. It stood out mainly because of its originality. His voice was strong, it was soulful and he had something different to offer. That’s really why I championed him, because I think he could offer something different, change the face of the band and possibly help this band move forward.”

Stated EDEN’S CURSE bassist Paul Logue: “When Nik sent his audition of ‘Evil & Divine’, that’s when we really began to sit up and take notice and say that this guy was something special. He is the complete package.”

Guitarist Thorsten Koehne enthused: “He’s just an amazing talent, one of the most amazing singers I’ve seen in recent times. He’s just so versatile in what he can do and he just fits the band perfect because with EDEN’S CURSE, we’re very diverse, as far as the music, so there’s not just one particular style that we are doing. So we were really looking for a singer that could keep up with that and have a range in his vocals. Nikola is just perfect because he can do so many things, from blues to metal stuff and everything in between.”

Williams, a former member of DRAGONFORCE, commented: “It was a real thrill to be asked by Paul and the boys to get involved in EDEN’S CURSE. I’ve been a fan for a long time, I’ve known the guys a while and it’s great to be here getting myself right cursed, I can tell you.”

Added Logue: “I’ve known Steve for a while, and when Ale left, he recommended we look at Steve. It was very easy choice for us, as we were already good friends and with POWER QUEST calling it a day, it was a perfect time in both our careers to join forces. Steve is a smashing player and one of life’s true gentlemen. He is an utter joy to have on board and I am genuinely excited to see what we can produce together in the years to come as I am a big fan of his songwriting.”

An EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for “High Rise”, the debut EP from the new version of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS featuring LINKIN PARK‘s Chester Bennington, can be seen below. The effort will be released on October 8 via 13Star Records.

“High Rise” track listing:

01. Out Of Time
02. Black Heart
03. Same On The Inside
04. Cry Cry
05. Tomorrow

The official lyric video for the song “Black Heart” can be seen below.

“Out Of Time” reached the No. 1 position on both the Mediabase Active Rock and Mainstream Rock chart last month.

“In terms of style, when the DeLeo brothers [Dean and bassist Robert] get in the studio and start writing, they have a very unique way of putting chords together and structures and the type of chord progressions they put together,” Bennington told Fuse News of the writing process in the new STP. “So, in that sense, it’s gonna be undeniably the sound of STP — I mean, they’re the heart and soul of the band. Naturally, I’m not [former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer] Scott [Weiland], so I’m not gonna think of the same melodies, I’m not gonna think of the same lyrical content and such, so in that sense, naturally, there’s gonna be a difference in terms of how I interpret what the band puts together musically. I think that’s one of the reasons why we’re so eager to get the [new STONE TEMPLE PILOTS] EP out, because we want people to hear the new direction and feel the vibe of the new music. Because there’s definitely a vibe in that EP that is fresh and it’s new but it still feels very STP.”

He added: “When we started writing, the ideas came so fast; every single day, it semed like there was four or five things that we were all bringing in and contributing in terms of new songs. We could have easily spent three more months on this thing and had a full-length record out. There’s enough material there for us to do that and start getting into the next one. So in terms of the amount of creativity that’s been going on, it’s very healthy.”

STP fired Scott Weiland in February after reuniting with him in 2010 for a series of tours and one self-titled album. The band had previously been on hiatus since 2002, primarily due to the singer’s struggles with drugs and alcohol.

The group sued Weiland in May, accusing him of using the band’s name to advance his solo career, while claiming that his poor performances, late arrivals, and addiction struggles harmed the band’s career.

Weiland has countersued, claiming that the band cannot use the STONE TEMPLE PILOTS name without him.

An EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for KORN‘s 11th studio album, “The Paradigm Shift”, can be seen below. The CD is the first to feature original KORN guitarist Brian “Head” Welch in more than eight years. Welch rejoined the group permanently earlier this year after leaving in 2005.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, the melodic, almost pop-driven style of the first single, “Never Never”, has met with some mixed reactions from KORN fans, which singer Jonathan Davis told Metal Hammer was his intention. He explained, “We put this out first cause I knew it was going to piss off a lot of people. And um, so I did it. That song ain’t for dudes, it’s for the ladies.”

Guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer told The Pulse Of Radio that the new disc is another big step forward for the band musically. “The melodies on it, on the tracks we did, they just sound like, so much like a mature band,” he said. “Sounds like they’re well thought out, the themes of, you know, the songs that Jonathan wrote about — it’s just where we are now. Every record’s just sort of a snapshot of where you are musically, personally . . . financially. [laughs].”

KORN will release “The Paradigm Shift” on October 8. A deluxe edition will feature two bonus tracks and a documentary DVD called “Reconciliation”.

The band will kick off a headlining North American tour on September 26 in Philadelphia, concluding in Las Vegas on October 12.
