Watain return!

Swedish black metal titans Watain have unveiled their brand new track, All That May Bleed, taken from the band’s upcoming and inevitably epic new album, The Wild Hunt, out August 19 via Century Media.

All that May Bleed shows but one facet of a quite diverse album, but we chose this song as a first glimpse into The Wild Hunt because of its bombastic lunacy and white-eyed malevolence which could be said to constitute a main foundation for the album,” say the band . “The lyric is an invitation to sacrificial blood letting, ecstatic zealotry and human sacrifice. The salt of Satan in the wounds of Christ!”

So there you go. Check it out below:

Austrian black metal band Belphegor posted up rehearsal video footage entitled “Chapter X.” The footage was shot in June a few days before the band entered Mana Studios in Florida to record the bass guitars and drums with producer Erik Rutan. According to the band, “this rehearsal trailer will give you a first glimpse of the sickness yet to be unleashed.” All announced titles for the forthcoming new LP are working titles. The album will be released through Nuclear Blast Records, however, the date of the release was pushed back to March 2013.

This is the first release since frontman Helmuth Lehner was diagnosed with typhus from the drinking water in Brazil during the band’s tour in 2011. The condition forced the band to cease all activities while Lehner received extensive medical treatment and physical therapy.

Katatonia has posted a new lyric video online for the song “Dead Letters,” which comes off the upcoming new album “Dead End Kings.” Check out the clip below. Katatonia commented:

“We’re proud to present to you the first glimpse into the world we’ve been living in for the last half a year. Instead of giving you just a snippet of audio, we decided to give you a ‘lyric video’ for a FULL song also showcasing some of the exquisite artwork to be found inside the album.

“We hope you will enjoy one of many diverse and differerent sides found on Dead End Kings by starting off with ‘Dead Letters’, one the most heavy and proggressive songs to be found on the album and certainly a new live classic. Crank it a couple (or hundred) of times and then let us know what you think!”

“Dead End Kings” is due for release via Peaceville Records on August 27th (EU) and August 28th (US). Pre-orders are available here. To find more info on the album, you can also read our recent interview with the band from the recording studio at this location.

With six weeks to go until the release of the new album, “True Defiance,” Demon Hunter is giving fans a first taste of the new set with the debut of the track “Someone To Hate.” Check out the song here. The band’s publicist issued the following statement:

“A circle pit-inducing rampage with a thrash backbone, the dynamic ‘Someone To Hate’ finds Demon Hunter taking their music’s most beloved aspects and pushing them to bold and exciting extremes. The track is an apt first impression of what lies in store for fans with the April 10 release of True Defiance, the band’s sixth album in 10 years.”

“‘Someone To Hate’ feels like a perfect first-glimpse at the new record,” says Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark. “At one point we were even debating on it being the album opener. It’s definitely a thrash song, but with a Demon Hunter twist. I think fans will dig it because it has a lot of classic DH elements, but it really pushes each of those elements to the max. It’s fast, it’s mean, it’s unapologetic… but of course, it has moments of melody as well.”

The album’s track listing is as follows:

1. Crucifix
2. God Forsaken
3. My Destiny
4. Wake
5. Tomorrow Never Comes
6. Someone To Hate
7. This I Know
8. Means To An End
9. We Don’t Care
10. Resistance
11. Dead Flowers
