Five Finger Death Punch will release the second part of their massive, two-disc epic The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell on November 18, with the first video from the album, Battleborn, set to land next week!

“After getting off the road from two years of touring I was physically and emotionally drained,” explains FFDP frontman Ivan Moody of the concept behind Battleborn. “It felt like I’d seen almost every inch of the globe and shook every hand there was to shake. I completely lost track of time, the flights, the travel, the shows all seemed to blur together. My family and friends became a distant memory. Even though I was doing what I’d dreamed of doing, it took all the energy that I had…it was exhausting. That made me realise, everything worth fighting for, you will actually have to fight for. Every wish, every dream, every idea comes to existence only through blood, sweat and sacrifice…we are all battle born.”

Watch this space for that new single. Meanwhile, Five Finger Death Punch will return to the UK with Avenged Sevenfold and Device on the following dates:

November 2013

Saturday 30 Manchester Arena

December 2013

Sunday 1 Wembley Arena, London

Thursday 5 LG Arena, Birmingham

The dates will serve as the OC metal heavyweights’ first UK shows since Download 2011, with tickets on sale now, priced at £28.50 (subject to booking fee) and available from this link.

MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil stopped by the KVVU Fox 5 studios in Las Vegas on August 26 to discuss the band’s upcoming second residency at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino and eventual farewell tour. You can watch video footage of his appearance below.

Asked about reports that that the final chapter for MÖTLEY CRÜE could come as early as 2016, after the film version of the group’s biography, “The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band”, gets completed, an accompanying album is released and yet one more tour around the globe, Vince said: “We just think it’s kind of that time — to do one big push. The tour will last, like, two years. And kind of go out on top. I mean, we’ve been together, actually, 32 years, and by the time we finish up, it’ll be 35 years. So that’s a good enough run.”

Vince also insisted that MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s retirement will be for “real” and that they won’t hold multiple farewell tours like certain other acts.

“There are some bands that are on their fifth and sixth farewell tour,” Vince said. “Nah, we’re not gonna do that. I’m not gonna say we would never get back together and do some concerts or something — we wanna keep that open — but we’re not gonna do a farewell tour and then a couple of years later go, ‘Ah, never mind.'”

MÖTLEY CRÜE will return to Las Vegas for an exclusive twelve-show engagement September 18 through October 6 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

In a brand new interview with The Oakland Press, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil was asked about bassist Nikki Sixx‘s recent statement that the final chapter for the band could come as early as 2016, after the film version of MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s biography, “The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band”, gets completed, an accompanying album is released and yet one more tour around the globe.

“It’s definitely for real,” confirmed Neil. “We want to go out on top. We don’t want to be one of those bands that people are like, ‘Oh, they’re playing a … little club now. We still sell out arenas and do stadium shows and stuff like that, and that’s how we want to be remembered.

“It’s just time. Mick‘s [Mars, guitar] health is not that good, and touring is tough on him. I’m sure in five, 10 years’ time we’ll probably do something together again, but it’s not gonna be like a KISS farewell to the farewell to the farewell tour. We’re not gonna be like that.”

Neil also said that he plans to have his next solo album out by the time the CRÜE calls it quits.

“I’m planning to release something maybe before the end of the MÖTLEY run,” he said. “That way it would come out right toward the end of that, and I can just go straight from MÖTLEY and continue touring on that (solo album). That’s the idea now, at least. It’s a ways away, still.”

“I think that means being famous, having pissed on the world’s fire hydrant, leaving your mark for years to come and making a dent in the globe the size of the hole in the ozone?

“The world’s view of a celeb today is the most fucked up, watered down bullshit I’ve ever seen.
