After several sold-out shows last year on their inaugural North American co-headlining tour with ELUVEITIE, WINTERSUN returned to North American shores once again for a headlining tour this August/September. Joining them are Italian symphonic death metal champions FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, melodic tech-death kings ARSIS and up-and-comers STARKILL.

WINTERSUN‘s “Time I” was nominated in the “Metal Album Of The Year” category at this year’s Emma Gaala (Finnish Grammy equivalent), which was held on March 1 at Barona Areena in Espoo, Finland.

“Time I” sold nearly 4,000 copies in its first week of release in the United States to land at position No. 109 on The Billboard 200 chart.

After several sold-out shows last year on their inaugural North American co-headlining tour with ELUVEITIE, WINTERSUN has returned to North American shores once again for a headlining tour this August/September. Joining them are Italian symphonic death metal champions FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, melodic tech-death kings ARSIS and up-and-comers STARKILL.

Prior to embarking on the current trek, WINTERSUN said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to return to North America for a full-scale headliner tour in August and September! It will be our first longer own headlining tour ever and this time, without any setlist length limitations, we’ll be able to offer the North American crowds a special show — representing both the ‘Wintersun’ and ‘Time I’ albums. There might also be some surprises in the setlist as well… We are really looking forward to sharing the live magic with YOU, all the fans out there!”

HALESTORM has issued an official music video for the song “Here’s To Us”, the latest single off the band’s 2012 sophomore album, “The Strange Case Of…”

The band recently recorded an alternate version of the track featuring guest appearances from Slash, SHINEDOWN‘s Brent Smith, ALTER BRIDGE‘s Myles Kennedy, DEVICE‘s David Draiman and others.

“Here’s To Us” was previously covered on a February 2012 episode of the hit television show “Glee”.

The song is the fourth single from “The Strange Case Of…” , following “Love Bites (So Do I)” , “I Miss The Misery” and “Freak Like Me”. HALESTORM won the Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in February for the chart-topping “Love Bites (So Do I)” .

Dream Theater already completed a 14-month tour with 110 shows through 34 different countries from 2011-2012 in support of the band’s eleventh studio album “A Dramatic Turn Of Events.” Now the Grammy-nominated progressive metal titans have announced the first leg of their European tour launching January 15th in Porto, Portugal. This coming trek will be in support of a new self-titled studio album being released September 24th. The upcoming tour will encompass 30 cities in 16 countries
