Issues: Ignore them at your peril

R’n’b metal. Whoever you are and whatever your tastes, if you have any interest at all in alternative music, that right there is a phrase that is guaranteed to spark a reaction. Luckily, not only do Issues nail their mix of crushing riffs, nu metal flourishes and big, poppy hooks with aplomb, but they’re fast winning over legions of fans through offering something new, fresh and startlingly different in an age where people want more than just heavy verses and  catchy choruses.

They’re going to be massive and it’s going to be brilliant, and this week, the Atlanta sextet kicked off their first ever UK tour alongside Crown The Empire. They still have nine dates left to go, and we reckon you’ll struggle to have a more fun, ridiculous and banger-filled night out any time soon, so check the dates below to see if they’re hitting up a venue near you and grab your ticket. Go on.

The Devil Wears Prada: Back later this year

The Devil Wears Prada have offered an update on their new album, which is the follow-up to 2011′s excellent Dead Throne and is due to land later this year.

“I think it’s kind of a totally new animal,” frontman Mike Hranica tells Music Feeds. “It definitely is a very cohesive record. A lot of the times, I feel like we’ll write songs and a lot of them are really cool songs and they’ll all have kind of a theme, but sometimes they stray from that path of the theme that we originally intended. And I think that this album as a whole, it all sounds like the album, it all is a cohesive idea. Which, don’t get me wrong — I don’t mean to say that all the songs sound the same, because each has their own unique personality.

“But as far as Dead Throne, our progression from Dead Throne, I definitely do think that this album is just a more mature record and has a lot more thought put into it. As always — we’re always gonna put a little bit more effort and thought into the new record than our previous effort.”

Black metal legends Satyricon will return to the UK for four inevitably epic dates this October – and have revealed that their new, self-titled album will land on September 9 via Roadrunner.

“We are back,” says band mastermind, Satyr. “Sorry it took so long, but we needed the time to be able pull off a record like this. Comparing this one to previous records is time wasted, it is Satyricon; constantly on the move.  Naming this record ‘Satyricon’ was the most obvious thing in the world.  We have never done a record which captures the spirit of this band in such a way.  Ever.  It will demand a lot from you as a listener, but I know you will love it.  It will grow on you and that is why it will stay with you forever.  We won’t tour as much in the future as we used to, and that will just make every tour more special.  This album and this tour is for you and ourselves.  It is our moment!”

Catch the band over here on the following dates:

Sunday 10th Nov – MANCHESTER Academy 3

Monday 11th Nov – BELFAST Limelight

Tuesday 12th Nov – DUBLIN Button Factory

Thursday 14th Nov – LONDON O2 Islington Academy

Tickets go on general sale at 9am THIS Friday (June 28).  Check www.facebook.com/satyriconofficial for special ticket bundles.
