In early June 2014, Arch Enemy will unleash 9th studio album, “War Eternal,” worldwide via Century Media Records and Trooper Entertainment in Japan. In what seems like but apparently is not an early April Fools joke, Century Media records has issued the following statement about the band now replacing front woman Angela Gossow: “With this upcoming release, the band will introduce a new member to their ranks: Alissa White-Gluz, former vocalist of Canadian extreme metallers The Agonist. Angela Gossow, who joined Arch Enemy in 2000 and made her debut on the now classic Wages Of Sin (2001), will be stepping down as front-woman and focusing on management, while Alissa takes her place.” Angela Gossow comments: “Dear ARCH ENEMY fans, this is not easy to tell you…I have decided to step down from being ARCH ENEMY’s voice of anger.

ANDI DERIS & BAD BANKERS, the new project led by HELLOWEEN/ex-PINK CREAM 69 frontman Andi Deris, has completed mixing and mastering its debut album. Andi states: “We are so happy with the result we can’t wait you guys out there finally hear it, too. Great, crispy sound… modern but not tooooo modern… the way it should be, in my humble ears.”

Andi previously stated about the new project: “It’s been years I was looking for a band (all over the planet) that I could actually ask to record an album with me, only to find it on the little island I live on just a few months ago. Even more thrilling is the fact that the guys are between 19 and 22 years old. You won’t believe it when you listen to the songs!

“We all had and have a lot of fun with the image, even more during the photo session.

“Obviously, we despise everything around banks, managers and bankers who are clearly responsible for the shit that goes on nowadays (and most certainly in our future), so it felt very good to vocally tell them what we think about them. Sure, therefore it’s highly explicit, but, who gives a f… that’s what they deserve, and it helps the music to really kick some ass.”

HELLOWEEN‘s new album, “Straight Out Of Hell”, sold around 4,100 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 97 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD entered the Media Control chart in Germany at position No. 4 — the highest chart position in the band’s history. It also landed at No. 4 in Finland and No. 2 on the international album chart in Japan.

“Straight Out Of Hell” was released in Europe on January 18 and in North America on January 22.

“Circus”, the new video from Swedish rockers CRASHDÏET, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Rick-y.com and edited by John Morgan Studios. The song is the third single from the band’s fourth album, “The Savage Playground”, which entered the official chart in Sweden at position No. 2. The CD was released on January 25 in Europe (excluding Scandinavia) and January 22 in North America via Frontiers Records.

With “The Savage Playground” recorded during summer/autumn 2012 at Kingside Studios outside Stockholm with producer Otto Wellton, the band has their minds set to break through on a worldwide basis with a tour that will see the band going back to the U.S. as well as going to Japan for the first time.

The new album sees CRASHDÏET going in a heavier and direction. “‘The Savage Playground’ is our playground, it’s the beginning and the end, it’s the place where we eat and breed,” says guitarist Martin Sweet. “We thought the time was right for us to do a edgier and not-so-polished-sounding album, kinda like what we sound like live. It’s more organic and rough-sounding. And, of course, we’re always evolving as musicians and like to try new ways of expressing ourselves, and that can most definitely be heard this album.”

CRASHDÏET released a new DVD entitled “Shattered Glass And Broken Bones – Three Years Of Generation Wild” on December 4, 2012. The disc features three hours of live and behind-the-scenes footage complied by the band with Bear Productions.
