Vilipend is a Candadian destructive force which has carved out a name for itself after self-releasing two full lengths and a live album since 2009. Now, Vilipend has joined forces with A389 Recordings and is gearing up for the August 19th release of “Inamorata.” The band’s publicist states, “Imagine 90′s metalcore ala Turmoil/Deadguy crossed with nihilistic sludge like Buzz*oven/Eyehategod – yes, it’s that fucking awesome!”

Toronto’s Vilipend is quickly approaching the August 13th release date for “Inamorata” (A389 Recordings) and now the group has teamed with CVLT Nation to unveil a brand new song. Check out “Great White Nothing” at this location.

Jucifer, the Alternative Tentacles recording artist that is “always on tour,” has posted a series of tour dates in the U.S. and Canada. The band has also set up a page on Pay It Square where it is soliciting funds to get its vehicle’s engine fixed and also to help with recording costs of its next album, which it hopes to release in late 2012. Oakland sludge band Noothgrush will be touring Europe this May with Portland funeral doom group Aldebaran. Their first two dates will be in Copenhagen, Denmark as part of the Heavy Days In Doomtown festival. The tour will continue through Germany and into the Czech Republic for a show with fellow Americans Jucifer. Aldebaran is touring in support of its new CD on Profound Lore and Noothgrush is gearing up for its first ever Baltimore apprearance as part of the Saturday show for this year’s Maryland Deathfest X, in support of Archgoat, Winter, Anvil and Morbid Angel. Check out the dates below, as well as an upload of the track “Gage” from Noothgrush’s album “Failing Early, Failing Often.”

Gun Shy Assassin is currently streaming “Fangs,” the first track off Sourvein’s Black Fangs full-length. Scheduled for North American release tomorrow, June 21st via Candlelight Records, the latest long player from the North Carolina sludge act features ten bottom-heavy, feedback-soaked, doom-tinged odes of heavy.

Check out “Fangs” as well as some words about the track from Sourvein ringleader T-Roy, by heading over to this location.

In related news Sourvein will kick off a near three-week U.S. tour this July. The chaos will commence in Philadelphia with Jucifer on July 6th and hit 16 more cities before finishing up at Ground Zero in Spartanburg on July 23rd. Dates are as follows:

The follow-up to last year’s Maryland Deathfest: The Movie will be released May 27th, 2011. Maryland Deathfest: The Movie 2 was filmed at Maryland Deathfest VIII, Bands featured in Maryland Deathfest: The Movie 2 include Pentagram, Total Fucking Destruction, Pestilence, Sulaco, Jucifer, Possessed, Fuck the Facts, Magrudergrind, Repulsion, Birdflesh, Coffins, General Surgery, Sulaco, Deceased, and Nirvana 2002. The movie also features interviews with bands, fans and VIPs of the metal scene conducted by the film’s co-producer, Richard Johnson (Agoraphobiic Nosebleed, Enemy Soil, Drugs of Faith). The DVD will be available for purchase at Maryland Deathfest IX and via mail-order at handshakeinc.com.
