U.K. progressive metal band Threshold provided details on the band’s forthcoming LP “March of Progress.” The album is set for release on August 31, 2012 through Nuclear Blast Records and was recorded at Thin Ice Studios by Karl Groom and Richard West. The album marks the studio return of original vocalist Damian Wilson, who rejoined the band after the passing of Andrew McDermott last year.
The track listing for “March Of Progress” is as follows:

British metallers Threshold have announced that their new album will be called “March of Progress” and is due for release through Nuclear Blast Records in 2012. The band commented:
“The provisional song titles on the new album are ‘Ashes’, ‘Return of the Thought Police’, ‘Colophon’, ‘Staring at the Sun’, ‘Liberty Complacency Dependency’, ‘Divinity’, ‘The Hours’, ‘Don’t Look Down’, ‘That’s Why we Came’, ‘The Rubicon’ & ‘Coda’.
“‘March of Progress’ sees the return of original Threshold vocalist Damian Wilson (HEADSPACE, STAR ONE) who rejoined the band in 2007 following the departure of Andrew ‘Mac’ McDermott, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
“The album is being produced at Thin Ice Studios and Eightspace Studio in the UK by Karl Groom and Richard West. Threshold will perform a handful of pre-release shows in April 2012 to promote the album.”
Further details on the upcoming album release will be announced as they are made available.

UK power metal band Intense have signed with Pure Legend Records, the sub label of Pure Steel Records. The band are currently recording a third album “Shape Of Rage” at Thin Ice Studios with producer Karl Groom (Threshold).
Pure Legend Records commented on the signing: “With Intense we are pround to have another high level band at Pure Legend Records combining outstanding songwriting with superbe vocals and the special note a band divides from others. Again the fans of the band will not be disappointed and a lot of new fans will be able to check out really unique songs made by musicians who find always new surprising ideas.”
Vocalist Sean Hetherington had the follow comments: “The guys and I are extremely happy to sign to a label such as Pure Legend Records, we already feel part of the family and together we have high hopes for our albums getting great exposure and for us to get out and share our music with as many people as possible. I already Feel that the guys at Pure Legend will make this a reality. There are exciting times ahead for Intense fans old and new.”
