You asked, and we answered. For the first time in history, the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards will be streaming LIVE on the night, Monday June 17, with Playstation!

The live stream will be through PlayStation Home, the virtual environment available on any PlayStation 3 console with a broadband connection. Broadcast in 25 countries, PS Home has a million users a month globally, and this will be the first time PlayStation has ever streamed an award ceremony of any kind. So basically, we’re going big. Oh, very big indeed.

The Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2013 take place Monday June 17 at the London Indigo2, and features performances from Motorhead, Airbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Coal Chamber and Paradise Lost, plus the industry’s biggest and best coming to join us for the party of the year.

If you can’t make it this year and don’t have a Playstation, find a mate who does. You know what to do.

Legendary Florida death metal behemoths OBITUARY, in cooperation with Unation.com, will offer up a pay-per-view live stream this weekend! Set to take place Saturday, June 8 at 8:30 EST at The Orpheum in their hometown of Tampa, Florida, the show will feature a mammoth all-classics setlist and include professional multi-camera footage and sound of the band onstage.

German thrash icons Kreator, in the midst of a world tour in support of the band’s latest release “Phantom Antichrist” (See review over here), will broadcast the band’s live show from Berlin this evening across the web over at tape.tv at this location. The performance will begin at 10:00pm CET, 4:00pm EST and 1:00pm PST today.

Californian rockers PAPA ROACH performed for a worldwide live stream and took questions from fans earlier today (Tuesday, October 23) via YouTube (see video below), marking the first time the band played live since vocalist Jacoby Shaddix underwent surgery last month to remove nodes from his vocal cords.
