Melodic technical metal band Subversion comes back swinging from a short hiatus with a new sound, new label, and a taste for blood. Rogue Records America is proud to announce the signing of Subversion for a two album deal for publishing and distribution, which includes a bundle with the new album and the band’s previous EP. Dean Martinetti of Rogue Records comments: “I remember hearing Subversion a while back, actually putting them on one of our compilations Songs in the Key of D and thinking how much I’d love to work with them one day… well that day has finally come and I am super excited.

Rogue Records has checked in with the following announcement about inking a deal with Astral Display: “Rogue Records America is proud to announce its partnership with Astral Display effective March 17th 2014. Hailing from Moscow, Astral Display is a djentprogressivemath metal band that combines in brutal intensity, compound, complex and mixed time signatures, extreme vocals and a mystical touch of melody and deep clean vocals. Label owner Dean Martinetti also commented on the band’s “Promethus” album: “The band has a stunning debut that we are proud to publish as a re-issue and distribute worldwide.

Rogue Records America is very proud to announce the label has inked a deal with The Korea, with releases to be distributed through Century Media Distro.

“I’m a huge fan of The Korea so when they agreed to join our growing family it was like getting Christmas early,” said label owner Dean Martinetti. “We couldn’t be happier with how fast the label is growing and having another powerhouse band like this in the lineup just shows how serious we are about our metal.”

The Korea was formed in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, in 2003 and in the summer of 2011 the band entered the studio to record third long player “The Chariots Of The Gods.” The Korea commented on the new collaboration:

“We are very glad for our creative union with Rogue Records America! It is a great honor and a big step for us and we hope that our music will be greatly appreciated outside of our country! We would like to thank the guys from Rogue Records America for letting us join their big family! We hope that our work together will be successful and we can bring to our fans many awesome songs! Thank you for support and see you at the concerts, friends!”

The first album out the gate is a re-issue Digipack for “Chariots of the Gods,” which will be offered with a free t-shirt. The album will also be sold digitally through the label’s bandcamp page with a free digital booklet. The next album “Saturnus” is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2013.

Rogue Records America has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Denmark’s Caro:

“Rogue Records America’s family is growing, the publisher has set their sights to the part of the world that produced some of the best death metal / thrash metal bands in the world. Today we land in Denmark with the signing of Danish Thrashers Caro. Caro is a thrash band from Frederikshavn Denmark that plays a mix of thrash, death and progressive metal. Formed in 2007 under the name OMEN was reformed as CARO in 2011.

“Caro reminds me of old school thrash…down and dirty and totally in your face. I love that and I miss that style. So when I heard them it made me super happy…I had to be a part of what they are doing in some way,” said the labels owner Dean Martinetti.

Caro drummer Sigurd (Sig) Jensen had this to say: “We are very happy to now be a part of the Rogue Records family, this is for sure a big opportunity to get our music out there, and we are totally stoked to see what this will bring in the future.”

Caro’s “Like a Sickness,” which to date has only been available at shows, is slated for a January 2012 release. The first single “The Sickness” can be heard in the player below.

Rogue Records America has signed a deal with Australian industrial djent band Synthetic Breed. Synthetic Breed was formed in 2002 and with the latest release “Perpetual Motion Machine” is now expanding into the North American market.

Label owner Dean Martinetti commented, “Synthetic Breed brings a fresh perspective on the Math / Industrial/ Djent Metal genres and we are proud to be working with such a professional and ambitious band. Synthetic Breed is one of those bands that’s a sleeping giant, and that giant is about to wake up and it’s going to be hungry.”

The “Perpetual Motion Machine” and “Catatonic” albums will be released through Rogue Records as a double album set on September 27th, 2011. The band also commented on the signing:

“Synthetic Breed is very excited to be working alongside with Rogue Records America. Dean Martinetti and his team at Rogue Records America share an enthusiasm for Synthetic Breed and our music, which, as label director, is much needed to work with us breaking into the lucrative North American market.”
