According to The Pulse Of Radio, Los Angeles firefighters were called to the home of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for the second time this year on Tuesday night (August 27), after Ozzy reportedly started a fire in their kitchen while making a bacon sandwich. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Sharon tweeted about the incident, “I’m in London, @OfficialOzzy is in LA making a bacon sandwich last night and the fire brigade ended up at our house!!”

There were no reports of any injuries to Ozzy or whether there was any damage to the kitchen or house.

In January, Ozzy was injured and had to receive medical treatment after Sharon left a candle lit overnight that exploded in its glass vase, sparking a fire which took over the living room of their home.

The couple’s attempts to put out the flames then only resulted in more damage and Ozzy‘s injuries, with Sharon saying on “The Talk” after the incident, “His eyebrows are gone . . . he’s got, like, skinned cheeks. We are, like, two idiots, it was like the Three Stooges. Everything you are not meant to do, go to bed with candles alight, open the doors and put water on, we did it all.”

Ozzy was back home in Los Angeles as BLACK SABBATH winds down its current North American tour in support of its reunion album, “13”.

The band plays the trek’s final three gigs on Friday (August 30) in Phoenix, Sunday (September 1) in Las Vegas and Tuesday (September 3) in Los Angeles.

Paul Gray's passing in 2010 shocked the metal world

News has emerged that a Des Moines physician has been charged with eight counts of involuntary manslaughter caused by the prescription of large amounts of narcotic painkillers to various patients – including Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, who passed away from a drug-related overdose in 2010.

Slipknot recently completed the first ever Knofest event in the US

“It is unprecedented to turn unfortunate deaths or medical results into a crime against a doctor,” comments the lawyer of Daniel Baldi, who has been accused of providing “high-dose prescription narcotics to a known drug addict” since 2005. “Unexpected deaths can occur in severe, chronic pain patients, unrelated to medical treatment. This is especially true with patients who are drug addicts or drug abusers.”

The hearing was conducted yesterday, with more information available at the Des Moines Register.

It’s extremely important to stress that these are only allegations at present, and as always we’ll be monitoring the situation closely and bringing you any news the second we hear it.

Austrian black metal band Belphegor posted up rehearsal video footage entitled “Chapter X.” The footage was shot in June a few days before the band entered Mana Studios in Florida to record the bass guitars and drums with producer Erik Rutan. According to the band, “this rehearsal trailer will give you a first glimpse of the sickness yet to be unleashed.” All announced titles for the forthcoming new LP are working titles. The album will be released through Nuclear Blast Records, however, the date of the release was pushed back to March 2013.

This is the first release since frontman Helmuth Lehner was diagnosed with typhus from the drinking water in Brazil during the band’s tour in 2011. The condition forced the band to cease all activities while Lehner received extensive medical treatment and physical therapy.

Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman will sit out the band’s upcoming Australian Soundwave Festival dates after being diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a rare skin infection also known as flesh-eating disease.

Hanneman underwent immediate surgery in late January after contracting a serious infection on his right arm. He was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, which doctors believe was caused by a spider bite.

The band will call on a guest guitarist to replace Hanneman on its upcoming Soundwave dates, set to kick off on February 26.

Hanneman is currently at home undergoing medical treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery.
