“Our ways parted as a result of different circumstances, we haven’t worked together for a very long time. This decision was not easy, but it was necessary and considers the interests of all band members. Sometimes changes are necessary if you want to bring a new horizon. I want to thank the guys for all this time we worked together, it was great!

Brazil’s Frost Despair recently revealed the title of the group’s upcoming new album as “Surreal,” which the band promises will be heavier and more orchestrated then previous album “The God Delusion,” released last year.

Vocalist Odommok commented on the new album: “‘Surreal’ represents the deconstruction of the concrete, palpable. It can pass by the most elusive emotions of the human mind. The album will be intense, challenger and ornamented.

“We are working hard to create it and we wish to explore the most our musical capacity in this new album. We are facing a lot of changes and this reflect in our formation, tuning and the way we compose. To everyone who enjoy ‘The God Delusion’ we promise a great response.”

Further details will be announced as they are made avialable. In the mean time, “The God Delusion” is fully available at the band’s Myspace page here.

Frost Despair is by Odommok (vocals), Agammenomm (keyboards/piano), Flavia Schmith (mezzosoprano vocals), Galamoth R. (guitar), Anderson Ribeiro (bateria) and new member Joaw Goulart (bass).

Conspires To… has issued the following update about delays in the recording process for the band’s new album due to computer issues:

“Technology when it is working can be really great, but when it isn’t can be an absolute killer of creativity and productivity!

“Imagine our dismay when we got to about 90% of the vocals for our new album complete, when the PC melts down! No it is n’t a complete disaster but not far off.

“All the music is safe, plus vox for 5 songs, but the other 8 lots of vocals hang in the balance. Still trying to resurrect the hard drive……so I will keep you posted.

“Apart from this trauma the album is coming on blindingly well, and we should be releasing another song on Reverbnation very soon.

“Further updates will follow shortly.”

You can also check out the recently posted new song “City of Ghosts” via the band’s MySpace page.
