“Evig Vandrar”, the new video from Norwegian rockers KVELERTAK, can be seen below. The animated clip was helmed by Torjus Førre Erfjord, who also worked on the band’s video for the song “Blodtørst”.

“Evig Vandrar” comes off KVELERTAK‘s sophomore album, “Meir”, which topped the official chart in Norway. The CD, which sold 1,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, was issued on March 26 via Roadrunner Records. It was produced by CONVERGE‘s Kurt Ballou and features cover artwork by John Dyer Baizley.

“It is both catchy and heavy; we’re pushing our limits in both ends of that spectre. It’s very varied and there are a lot of surprises in store. I mean, it’s unlike anything I myself have heard before, so we even managed to surprise ourselves,” said vocalist Erlend Hjelvik.

KVELERTAK is Erlend Hjelvik (vocals), Vidar Landa (guitars), Bjarte Lund Rolland (guitars), Maciek Ofstad (guitars), Marvin Nygaard (bass) and Kjetil Gjermundrød (drums).

Norwegian death metal upstarts OBLITERATION will release new album, “Black Death Horizon”, on November 12 via Relapse Records. The record will be made available in North America on CD, LP, and digital formats, and takes the malignant form of a raging slab of filthy death metal in the tradition of DISMEMBER, AUTOPSY, and fresher meat like MIASMAL and NECROWRETCH. It was recorded in the band’s home studio this past April.

Hailing from Kolbotn, Norway (the home of DARKTHRONE), OBLITERATION are true heirs to a long line of gritty Scandinavian death metal. “Black Death Horizon” both invokes the classics of the genre and puts a new and fresh spin on the sound to make it their own. DARKTHRONE‘s Fenriz himself hails “Black Death Horizon” as “a brand new old, organic-sounding death metal masterpiece.”

“Black Death Horizon” track listing:

01. The Distant Sun (They Are The Key)
02. Goat Skull Crown
03. Transient Passage
04. Ascendance (Sol Invictus)
05. Sepulchral Rites
06. Black Death Horizon
07. Churning Magma

The band plans to return to North America in early 2014 in support of their new record.

Norwegian psychedelic quartet SAHG, which specializes in doom-infused ’70s rock, will release their new album, “Delusions Of Grandeur”, on October 25 via Indie Recordings.

“Delusions Of Grandeur” track listing:

01. Slip Off The Edge Of The Universe
02. Blizzardborne
03. Firechild
04. Walls Of Delusion
05. Ether
06. Then Wakens The Beast
07. Odium Delirium
08. Sleeper’s Gate To The Galaxy

“Delusions Of Grandeur” is a concept record “about a person, whose delusions of grandeur escalate to the level where they consume him completely,” explains SAHG’s Olav Iversen (vocals, guitar). “From becoming increasingly psychopathic and dominant, he loses touch with everyone around him and isolates into his own imaginary, psychotic world, where he becomes the almighty ruler of the universe. As he stands on the highest peak of his domain and beholds all that he has conquered, he suddenly slips off the edge and floats away, weightless. Helpless and stripped of all power, he drifts further into the open space, until he disappears into the darkness. It’s an album about how desire for power and property can distort and destroy who we are.”

SAHG‘s new CD was recorded at Duper studio in Bergen, Norway.

SAHG‘s third album, “Sahg III”, came out on August 30, 2010 through Indie.

SAHG is:

Olav Iversen – Vocals/Guitar
Tony Vetaas – Bass
Thomas Tofthagen – Guitar
Thomas Lønnheim – Drums
