The video for the album’s opening track, “My Will Be Done” (featuring Mats Levén), was produced by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among others.
Gus handles all guitar, bass and keyboards on “I Am The Fire”, and is joined by a roster of friends and guests that help bring his vision to fruition: drummers Jeff Friedl (A PERFECT CIRCLE, PUSCIFER, DEVO) and Daniel Erlandsson (ARCH ENEMY), bassists David Ellefson (MEGADETH), Billy Sheehan (MR. BIG, DAVID LEE ROTH) and Marty O’Brien (TOMMY LEE, WE ARE THE FALLEN, LITA FORD), and vocalists Mats Levén (CANDLEMASS, ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, THERION), Blake Allison (DEVOUR THE DAY), Michael Starr (STEEL PANTHER), Alexia Rodriguez (EYES SET TO KILL), Tom S. “I Am The Fire” was mixed by Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, STONE SOUR, STEEL PANTHER) and was recorded between Los Angeles and Gus‘ home country of Greece through the latter half of 2013. A few of the album’s tracks include “Eyes Wide Open”, “Redemption”, “End Of The Line” and “Blame It On Me”. The album showcases a well-balanced mix of active rock, classic hard rock, traditional metal and guitar-driven instrumentals, taking listeners on a diverse journey and opening doors to Gus G.‘s soulful playing.
Gus G. has had an amazing rise within the worldwide rock and metal scenes and has amassed an impressive body of work, both in studio and touring. He emerged as an up-and-coming talent with the groups DREAM EVIL (Sweden), MYSTIC PROPHECY (Germany) and NIGHTRAGE (Greece), but it is his work with his own band FIREWIND (who have released seven studio albums and two live releases) and as a member of Ozzy Osbourne‘s band that have helped him emerge as one of the world’s top metal and rock guitarists. His work on Ozzy‘s “Scream” album led to a Grammy nomination in 2010, and his list of accolades includes Guitar Player magazine’s “Best Metal Guitarist,” the “Dimebag Darrell Shredder” award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, and Metal Hammer Greece “Best Guitarist” on four separate occasions.

The Pulse Of Radio reports that Ozzy Osbourne‘s mansion in Buckinghamshire, England has been ruined by flooding during one of the U.K.’s rainiest winters ever. According to the Mirror, the house, which sits on a seven-acre estate, is located in one of the hardest hit areas of the country and now needs more than half a million dollars worth of repairs.
Ozzy‘s wife and manager Sharon said the building was “destroyed,” while Ozzy added, “It’s been completely flooded. The rain has battered down the walls and seeped through everything. There is water everywhere… We can’t even go about getting it fixed because apparently it’s going to take nine months to dry out. The place is ruined.”
The water damage is the latest incident to plague the Osbournes at their English countryside retreat. Others have included Ozzy‘s all terrain vehicle crash in 2003, two fires and a burglary.
While they wait to see if the house in England can be salvaged, the Osbournes will stay at their Los Angeles home — which itself was the site of a small fire in January 2013.
Ozzy begins a short North American tour with BLACK SABBATH on March 31 in Brooklyn, New York.

RockNLive.org recently conducted an interview with former PANTERA and current HELLYEAH drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott. You can now watch the chat below.
HELLYEAH‘s fourth studio album, “Blood For Blood”, will be released on June 10 via Eleven Seven Music. The CD was helmed by producer Kevin Churko at his The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Churko is the Canadian musician, sound engineer, songwriter and record producer who has previously worked with OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and IN THIS MOMENT, among other acts.
Prior to the recording of the new album, HELLYEAH parted ways with guitarist Greg Tribbett (MUDVAYNE) and bassist Bob “Zilla” Kakaha (DAMAGEPLAN). A replacement bassist in the shape of Kyle Sanders (former member of BLOODSIMPLE and the brother of MASTODON‘s Troy Sanders) has been secured.
Still in the lineup are original drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, guitarist Tom Maxwell and singer Chad Gray.
Speaking to RockNLive.org about Sanders‘ addition to HELLYEAH, Vinnie Paul said: “After we realized we were gonna have to part ways with Bob and Greg, we wanted to make sure that we brought somebody in that was a ‘bro,’ somebody that we felt comfortable with. We didn’t wanna go through an audition process and bring a whole bunch of different people in that we had no idea, anything about their character or dynamic or what they were all about. And Kyle had toured with HELLYEAH many times with his band BLOODSIMPLE, who we were all fans of. As a matter of fact, BLOODSIMPLE was on Chad‘s label when he had a label. And he was the first guy that came to our mind. And the first phone call we gave to him, we barely mentioned it and he said, ‘I’m the guy. I wanna do it. I wanna do it.’ And that’s all we needed to hear; that was perfect. So he’s gonna be a perfect addition to the band. We shot the videos together and we hung out, and he’s really into it. So it worked out perfect for us. And to complement Tom on guitar, these songs for this record really have a lot of duelling guitars and a lot of parts, we’re gonna add a touring guitarist. We haven’t announced who that is yet, but I can tell you he’s a hell of a guitar player. So we’ll do that soon. And the band’s gonna be stronger than ever. There’s nothing like having some fresh blood out on the road with you. And these guys are gonna kill, we’re gonna kill, and we’ve got a great new record to tour with.”
A press release describes “Blood For Blood” as a “welcome return to form” for the band, adding that it “sounds like a recharged HELLYEAH, taken up many notches.”
HELLYEAH will hit the road this spring, starting with several festival slots in April and May.
HELLYEAH was formed in 2006 by NOTHINGFACE guitarist Tom Maxwell and bassist Jerry Montano, MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, and former PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott.
Montano left a week after the release of the band’s self-titled debut album in 2007 and was replaced by Bob “Zilla” Kakaha, who had played with Abbott in DAMAGEPLAN.
HELLYEAH‘s other albums include 2009′s “Stampede” and 2011′s “Band Of Brothers”.
MUDVAYNE has not released an album since 2009 while Gray and Tribbett have been working with HELLYEAH.

When METALLICA‘s new movie, “Metallica Through The Never”, opens in 3D IMAX today (Friday, September 27), fans will see the band performing on a massive stage, specially constructed for the film, that incorporates elements of METALLICA live shows from the past 30 years. LA Lloyd of the Austin, Texas radio station KLBJ-FM asked bassist Robert Trujillo if there is any chance of taking that stage show on the road. “”That is the plan,” he said (hear audio below). “But we won’t do that until we finish recording a new record. We need a new album.”
He continued: “We started working on new music earlier in the year, and it was really fun; we had a great time. Lars [Ulrich; METALLICA drummer] was even saying that it was the funnest time that he had jamming with METALLICA.
“There’s a great sense of unity right now in the band; we’re firing on all cylinders.
“We’ve had a lot of challenging moments on stage, we changed the setlist every night, we played some major events. We had a special anniversary… It was about a year ago, at the Fillmore in San Francisco, we played four shows for the 30-year anniversary, and we actually… Again, us being crazy, we flew in people like Rob Halford [JUDAS PRIEST] from Birmingham, England to sing one song with us. We had members of DIAMOND HEAD there, we had MERCYFUL FATE, with King Diamond, [who] came out from Denmark. Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne, we flew them in, from BLACK SABBATH, to do a medley of SABBATH songs with us. We had Glenn Danzig. I mean, it was crazy. Lou Reed came out, too. It was four nights of that, and it was a celebration for our fans. And again, going back to the idea that we’re not making any money off this — I mean, Fillmore is a small place, and we’re flying people in, and we’ve gotta put them up. But again, at the end of the day, it’s for our fans. And I always think that that’s why people really connect with us, because we’re kind of crazy like that. And at the end of the ay, I think it translates into positive energy.
“But again, the reality is we’ve gotta make a new album. We’ll take the stage out a few years down the line if there’s a demand — kind of the way Roger Waters took his production out.”
METALLICA reportedly spent $20 million of its own money to make the “Metallica Through The Never” film, which was screened at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas this past Wednesday (September 25).
The soundtrack, which features a number of METALLICA classics performed live in the movie, was released on September 24. The two-disc CD came out on METALLICA‘s own label, Blackened Recordings, also in digital and vinyl formats.
The concert sequences for the movie were shot in August 2012 at two shows in Vancouver, Canada and feature a stage containing elements of many of METALLICA‘s previous live productions from the past 30 years.

On October 17, Rock Against MS returns to the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, California with yet another amazing all-star lineup. On the heels of a spectacular sold-out show last March 27, the rock stars return in support of longtime friend and publicist Nancy B. Sayle. This rock-fueled concert is to help raise awareness and funding for Sayle and her new foundation benefiting those living with MS. This show will also be in loving memory of Penny (Maglieri) Tuttle who passed from complication from MS just days prior to the first Rock Against MS concert. Penny is the daughter of Sunset Strip’s legendary rock and roll giant Mario Maglieri, owner of the Whisky A Go Go and the Rainbow Bar & Grill.
Penny‘s passing affected Sayle profoundly, as she herself is challenged with primary progressive MS.
“Being just diagnosed in 2009, I first ignored the disease and now with it progressing, I move forward doing all I can to cheat it and be positive,” explains Sayle.
“Penny‘s death, just within days of a concert at her family’s venue that they so graciously donated to us really shook me. The Maglieri family are great longtime friends and I want to honor Penny and many others that have lost their lives due to this disease. We also thank the Maglieri family for all they have done for us.
“I really need all to know about MS. It is important that we fight and not lose hope.”
Scheduled performers at Rock Against MS on October 17:
* Steve Lukather (TOTO)
* Gilby Clarke (GUNS N’ ROSES)
* Rob “Blasko” Nicholson (OZZY OSBOURNE)
* Marky Ramone (RAMONES)
* Jorgen Carlsson (GOV’T MULE)
* CJ Vanston (SPINAL TAP)
* Erik Eldenius (BILLY IDOL)
* Brian Tichy (OZZY OSBOURNE, WHITESNAKE)
* Robert Sarzo (QUEENSRŸCHE)
* Jimmy D’Anda (BULLETBOYS)
* Nick Menza (MEGADETH)
* Gretchen Bonaduce
* Chas West (MOBY DICKS, BONHAM)
They are showing support for not only Sayle, but for so many others living with MS in our own community and around the world.
Many more artists will be announced in the coming weeks and a huge surprise guest is in anticipation.
In its finishing stages, the Rock Against MS Foundation will provide services from a three (3) grant resource system, which will provide daily care, quality of life needs and emergency funding, while assisting people with multiple sclerosis to live an independent and full life. There will also be an educational grant for kids with MS as well as kids that have parent with MS that are challenged with funding for college. These grants will support the physical and emotional needs of MS patients and their families — as well as creating awareness of multiple sclerosis to the general public.

SoCal Theme Parks 360 has uploaded a five-minute walk-through of “Black Sabbath: 13 3D”, the new all-original, terrifying 3D maze immortalizing Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler from BLACK SABBATH, the celebrated, multi-platinum rock band that pioneered the heavy metal genre with their dark and doom-laden sounds, fused with lyrical themes of the occult, addiction, war and nuclear apocalypse.
The new maze, which opened this past Friday, September 20 at Universal Studios Hollywood‘s premier Halloween Horror Nights event, is based on the darkest lyrics from BLACK SABBATH‘s biggest hit songs and is the only attraction at the horror event to incorporate 3D video. It also includes scenes inspired by the legendary band’s recently released Billboard #1 album, “13″. A nightmarish landscape of doom engulfs guests as they enter “Black Sabbath: 13 3D” and traverse through horrifying graveyards, disturbing madhouses and bone-chilling battlefields.
“We were all really excited when Universal Studios Hollywood approached us about doing a 3D ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ maze based on our music,” said BLACK SABBATH‘s Ozzy Osbourne. “I’ve seen the drawings of what it will look like when it’s finished and it looks amazing. I can’t wait to walk through it on opening night in September.”
Guests come face to face with a heart-stopping Lucifer and his bride, blood-soaked dead bodies and bubbling pools of “radioactive water” while songs inspired by “Luke’s Wall”, “Iron Man”, “Paranoid”, “War Pigs”, “Electric Funeral” and — of course — “Black Sabbath” violently penetrate the confines of the maze at high volume.
“Very few bands can claim to have defined a genre of music but BLACK SABBATH‘s remarkable influence in the evolution of heavy metal will go down in history,” said John Murdy, creative director for Universal Studios Hollywood. “Tony Iommi‘s dark, iconic riffs, Ozzy Osbourne‘s haunting vocals and Geezer Butler‘s foreboding lyrics provide the perfect soundtrack for ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ and endless inspiration for our new haunted attraction ‘Black Sabbath 13 3D’.”
“Halloween Horror Nights” 2013 at Universal Studios Hollywood brings together the sickest minds in horror to immerse guests in the living, breathing, three-dimensional world of the most notorious and terrifying creatures and features a slate of unrivaled film production quality mazes, terror-filled Scare Zones and a fully re-imagined “Terror Tram” experience, uniquely themed to today’s most definitive horror properties. This year’s haunted attractions will include “The Walking Dead: No Safe Haven”, based on AMC‘s Golden Globe-nominated, Emmy Award-winning show, and “Evil Dead: Book of the Dead”, inspired by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment‘s chilling remake of the cult classic.

According to Interia.pl, the Polish-language edition of “My Bloody Roots”, the autobiography of Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, SEPULTURA, NAILBOMB), will be made available on October 2 through the Kagra publishing house.
Already available in Max‘s native Brazil, “My Bloody Roots”, written by Cavalera with assistance from renowned British author Joel McIver, was translated by Bartosz Donarski (who also translated “Slash”, “Pearl Jam Twenty”, “Lords Of Chaos”, “Swedish Death Metal” and “Choosing Death: The Improbable History Of Death Metal & Grindcore”, among others), a contributor to well-known Polish magazine Mystic Art, former perennial DJ of the longest-running metal radio show in Poland “Thrashing Madness”, and editor of the major Polish Internet portal Interia.pl.
“My Bloody Roots”‘ foreword was written by Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS, ex-NIRVANA), who was’ “really thrilled” to do it, Max said in an interview. “Dave‘s always been a great guy,” Cavalera added. “He used to come to see SEPULTURA play in Seattle every time we played; even after NIRVANA got big, he would still come and see us play in little clubs.” Among other musicians who were interviewed for Max‘s autobiography were Ozzy Osbourne, Chino Moreno of the DEFTONES, Tom Araya of SLAYER and Mike Patton of FAITH NO MORE.

Due to “unforeseen circumstances,” NIGHTRAGE‘s former singer, Jimmie Strimell (ENDS WITH A BULLET, ex-DEAD BY APRIL, DEATHDESTRUCTION) was unable to rejoin the band for their September 20 concert in Gothenburg, Sweden. Handling lead vocals at the show was Ronnie Nyman from ALWAYS WAR. Also appearing with NIGHTRAGE founder/guitarist Marios Iliopoulos at the Gothenburg concert were drummer Marcus Rosell (ENDS WITH A BULLET, DORM PATROL) and guitarist Jesper Strömblad (THE RESISTANCE, CEREMONIAL OATH, ex-IN FLAMES).
Fan-filmed video footage of the September 20 performance can be seen below.
Vocalist Antony Hämäläinen left NIGHTRAGE in June in order “to explore other musical ventures.”
Iliopoulos recently revealed that he was preparing to begin the songwriting process for the band’s new album, which is expected in 2014. The group is also seeking a suitable label home for the upcoming CD following NIGHTRAGE‘s split with Lifeforce Records.
Due to scheduling conflicts, Hämäläinen was unable to perform with NIGHTRAGE at the Gothenburg Sound Festival on January 5 at Trädgårn in Gothenburg, Sweden. His replacement for this show was NIGHTRAGE‘s former frontman Tomas Lindberg from AT THE GATES.
Lindberg — who is also known for his work with THE CROWN and LOCK UP — appeared on NIGHTRAGE‘s first two albums (2003′s “Sweet Vengeance” and 2005′s “Descent Into Chaos”) before being replaced by Jimmie Strimell, who sang on 2007′s “A New Disease Is Born”.
NIGHTRAGE‘s fifth album, “Insidious”, was released in September 2011 via Lifeforce Records. The CD featured guest appearances by Gus G. (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIREWIND), Tomas S. Englund (EVERGREY), Apollo Papathanasio (FIREWIND, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS), John K (BIOMECHANICAL) and Lindberg.

Ozzy Osbourne was a guest on Billy Morrison‘s (BILLY IDOL, THE CULT, CAMP FREDDY) radio show, “Billy Morrison’s Dirty Little Secrets”, last Wednesday, September 18 on TradioV.com. You can now watch the program below.
BLACK SABBATH will release a new DVD, “Live… Gathered In Their Masses”, on November 26 via Vertigo/Republic. The set will contain footage of the band’s April 29 and May 1, 2013 concerts in Melbourne, Australia in support of SABBATH‘s long-awaited reunion album, “13″.
The disc, which came out this past June, became the first SABBATH album in the band’s 43-year history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE drummer Brad Wilk played drums on the CD after Bill Ward sat out the sessions. While money was believed to be an issue, Ward was reportedly also upset that the group wanted another drummer around anyway to back him up if he was physically unable to get the job done.
Ozzy told The Pulse Of Radio that Ward being out of shape was the main reason he’s not on the record. “Bill Ward has got the most physically demanding job of the lot of us, ’cause he’s the timekeeper. I don’t think personally he had the chops to pull it off, you know. The saddest thing is that he needed to own up to that, and we could have worked around it, whether we had a drummer on the side with him or something. But I suppose it was something to do with finances as well.”

Sara Meek of In The Now Magazine conducted an interview with guitarist Stevie Dacanay of Californian rockers BUCKCHERRY on September 14 at the Aftershock festival at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. You can now watch the chat below.
Aside from playing guitar in BUCKCHERRY, Dacanay is a serious photographer who’s been chronicling his travels and life on the road.
In a 2011 interview with Flush The Fashion, Stevie stated about his work as a photographer, “I’ve always been a fan, and a fan of most art forms. but I didn’t start shooting and dedicating gross amounts of time until a tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE a few years ago. I have Nikki Sixx and my singer Josh [Todd] to thank for that. They were both highly encouraging and helpful when I started getting serious. Actually, Sixx still is. Then, like any good drug addict, I went off the deep end, started isolating, obsessing. It was all-consuming.”
BUCKCHERRY‘s sixth studio album, “Confessions”, sold 18,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 20 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was produced by guitarist Keith Nelson and Marti Frederiksen (AEROSMITH, OZZY OSBOURNE) and features eclectic CD artwork by graffiti artist Ewok.
The band’s previous CD, “All Night Long”, opened with around 28,000 units in August 2010 to debut at No. 10.
BUCKCHERRY‘s fourth studio effort, titled “Black Butterfly”, premiered with around 47,000 copies back in September 2008 to enter the chart at No. 8.
