After the 2010 death of their vocalist Makh Daniels in a van accident while on tour, Early Graves has returned with Red Horse. Guitarist Chris Brock fills us in on the new album and vocalist John Strachan, their new label, their recent tour with Skeletonwitch, upcoming tour plans and other subjects.

Bay Area metal band Early Graves has unveiled the monstrous title track and artwork from the band’s forthcoming album, “Red Horse,” today on Pitchfork.com. Check out the song via Pitchfork here.

“Red Horse” is scheduled for release on October 30th via No Sleep Records and is available for pre-order now at this location.

On the band’s first album since the tragic death of founding singer Makh Daniels two years ago, Early Graves finds a new voice with close friend John Strachan, of the Funeral Pyre, taking over the blood curdling vocal duties. The album features eight face-melting tracks that clock in at just over thirty-two minutes.

The band’s newly released title track comes on the heels of a recent announcement for a fall U.S. tour with Skeletonwitch, which kicks off in mid-September, leading up to the release of “Red Horse.”

San Francisco metal band Early Graves recently wrapped up recording with Tim Green at Louder Studios on new album “Red Horse,” which is due out on October 30th via No Sleep Records.

“Red Horse” marks Early Graves intrepid return since the tragic death of founding singer Makh Daniels two years ago, and the next chapter of the band’s career with close friend, John Strachan of Funeral Pyre, taking over vocal duties.

The band recently released a rough demo of “Days Grow Cold,” the first with Strachan, on No Sleep Records Summer Compilation which can be heard at BrooklynVegan.com. In anticipation of the impending release, Early Graves will hit the road with fellow metalheads Skeletonwitch in September leading up the album release in October.
