Las Vegas metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have uploaded pre-show backstage footage from their March 19 concert at Komplex Klub in Zurich, Switzerland. Check out the two-and-a-half-minute clip below.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will release the official music video for its cover of the classic folk song “The House Of The Rising Sun” on Monday (March 24). The track is the next single from the band’s latest album, “The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 2”. The disc came out last November and is the second half of a two-record set, with “Volume 1” coming out last July.

The band has posted a teaser for what it described as the “gasoline and rocket-fuel-soaked” video, which was filmed in the desert. A Facebook post said that the video “was an experiment, the initial steps toward something we always wanted to do… make a full-length movie.”

Although the song is thought to be about a life gone bad due to alcohol, gambling or prostitution, FIVE FINGER frontman Ivan Moody told The Pulse Of Radio his spin on it. “For me, it’s in relation to being on the road, you know, year in and year out,” he said. “You know, with my history and my family and whatnot, it’s just, it’s really relatable for me and I don’t necessarily think it’s bleak. I think there’s a positive side to it. But people will take out of it what they want.”

The original author of “The House Of The Rising Sun” is unknown and the song’s roots may date back to the 16th century.

The most successful commercial version was recorded by the English rock group THE ANIMALS in 1964, which was a No. 1 hit in the U.K., the U.S. and Canada.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is currently on the road overseas, but will be back home in late April to play at several major rock festivals.

“Going To Hell”, the second album from THE PRETTY RECKLESS, the band led by actress-turned-singer Taylor Momsen, is likely to sell between 30,000 and 35,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to industry web site Hits Daily Double. The estimate was based on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores on March 18 via Razor & Tie. The chart will be unveiled on Wednesday, March 26.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, THE PRETTY RECKLESS has become the second female-fronted act in the last three years to hit No. 1 on the rock radio chart. The band’s new single, “Heaven Knows”, hit the top of the survey last week, allowing THE PRETTY RECKLESS to join the Lzzy Hale-fronted HALESTORM as part of a small and very select list of chart-topping rock acts fronted by women.

“Going To Hell” follows up THE PRETTY RECKLESS‘ 2010 debut full-length, “Light Me Up”, as well as a 2012 EP called “Hit Me Like A Man”.

Momsen began her career as an actress when she was a child before becoming a full-time musician years later. She told The Pulse Of Radio that her family always knew this was what she really wanted to do. “They knew that music was always where I was headed, and what my — that was my passion and my goal,” she said. “I mean, acting was a day job, essentially, while I worked on writing a record’s worth of material that I wanted people to hear, and finding the right people to work with and the right band and all that. So they weren’t surprised when I jumped ship.”

The video for “Heaven Knows”, in which Momsen appears semi-nude, has gotten more than 2.7 million views on VEVO.

THE PRETTY RECKLESS is currently supporting FALL OUT BOY on tour in Europe and will return to the U.S. next month for an appearance at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards on April 23 in Los Angeles.

The band is also confirmed to perform at all of the major U.S. rock festivals, including Rock On the Range, Rocklahoma, Fort Rock, Welcome To Rockville, Rock Fest Kansas City and others.

Metal Blade Records is pleased to announce that the Grammy Award nominated King Diamond has signed a new 3 album worldwide record deal. King Diamond comments:

“This is gonna be awesome! Another perfect piece of the puzzle. We have the full backup of Metal Blade, and there’s an understanding between us that goes much, much deeper than before.

“Our new business setup will noticeably benefit the fans in so many ways. You must have already noticed some of all the cool new stuff that is happening. Now we can’t wait to get out there and start touring again!”

Metal Blade also issued the following statement:

“King Diamond is quite possibly the most recognizable and prolific personality ever in heavy metal. Revered by icons as big as Metallica and Pantera to inspiring new upstarts like Goatwhore; King DIamond, the man and the band, have left an indelible mark on the history, and now again, the future of heavy metal.

“In August of 2008, King Diamond joined Metallica on stage at Ozzfest in Dallas to perform the Mercyful Fate medley made famous from the Garage, Inc. album. Additionally, King Diamond was featured alongside Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister as a playable character in Guitar Hero: Metallica in 2009.

“By 2012, King Diamond was prepared to return to the stage for a select number of shows. The band’s triumphant return to the stage were the highlights of both the Hellfest and Sweden Rock festivals in France and Sweden. Fans at these festivals were treated to the largest and most involved stage production in the band’s storied history. Horror concepts from multiple albums were used in the décor; fans can rest-assured that this show will only get larger and more impressive at future performances.

“King Diamond’s 30+ year musical career is one of the most storied in history of heavy metal, but the tale is not yet over. The most recent release, 2007′s Grammy nominated album Give Me Your Soul…Please, stands as one of the most critically-acclaimed albums in an already iconic discography. Future albums will feature entirely new horror stories, concepts, haunting orchestrations, and the band’s signature brand of heavy metal from the mind of King Diamond and the talented group of musicians in tow: Andy La Rocque, Mike Wead, Hal Patino, and Matt Thompson. Many more albums, tours, and ventures lay ahead.”

The wait is over, Zombie lovers! Rob Zombie has announced that he and his band of maniacs – John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish – will enter the studio on June 1 to begin recording the next chapter in the Zombie musical legacy. This new, as yet untitled CD is set for a late 2012 release.

“It has been way, and I mean way too long without any new music. I am dying to get back to it,” said Zombie. “I have not felt this much excitement within the band since recording the first Hellbilly Deluxe record almost 15 years ago. We have been working on tons of songs for quite some time and I can safely say this will definitely be our best record yet.”

Before Lord Zombie and his band begin recording, they will hit the highway on a co-headline tour with metal legends Megadeth, marking the first time the two bands have toured together since the early 90s.

“This tour should be a blast,” said Zombie. “I haven’t shared a bill with Megadeth since way back in the early days of White Zombie, so this trek is long overdue.”

Two new dates have been added to the U.S. trek – May 13 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and May 19 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, MO. The tour, which kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ, will encompass high-profile appearances at several rock festivals, including Rock On The Range (May 20) that Zombie will co-headline with Incubus, and Rocklahoma (May 26) that Zombie will headline. Zombie will bring his full, explosive stage show out in full force on these dates, and audiences will get what they expect – a true rock and roll spectacle at its finest. Zombie will close all shows on the Megadeth dates.

Zombie’s latest film, “The Lords of Salem,” is currently in the final stages of post-production and promises to be Zombie’s most insane film yet. “I am enjoying taking my time finishing this film. I hate rushing things at this stage of the process, so it is a luxury to take it slow and really fine-tune every part of the production,” stated Zombie. No release date is set yet for the film.

Confirmed dates for the Rob Zombie/Megadeth U.S. tour are as follows:

MAY

11 PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, NJ
12 Toyota Pavilion, Scranton, PA
13 Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, MD NEW!
16 Stage AE, Pittsburgh, PA
18 The Deltaplex, Grand Rapids, MI
19 Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, St. Louis, MO NEW!
20 Rock On The Range, Columbus, OH
22 La Crosse Center, La Crosse, WI
24 Tyson Center, Sioux City, IA
25 Hartman Arena, Wichita, KS
