Ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach has responded to a recent interview in which SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan told a journalist that answering questions about the possibility of working with Bach again is “a waste of time.”

“I go on my Twitter feed and I read things like [January 24] was the 25th anniversary of the release date of the first SKID ROW album, and SKID ROW doesn’t give a fuck,” Bach tells Yahoo! Music. “I would love to do something to celebrate it, and my former bandmates are like, ‘Nah, we’re playing a bowling alley. We’re happy. We don’t care.’”

He adds: “There’s a lot of unreleased material sitting around collecting dust. The fans would love [to see it being released], but I guess my band is allergic to cash. They’re happy not being big. It’s such an insult to the millions of people who dug our albums. It’s like saying, ‘We were just joking [back then]. Happy anniversary!’”

Bach in July 2012 posted a letter on his Facebook page in which he said he was willing to reunite with SKID ROW. “For the fans, I would be willing to put my ego aside and do something that would be special for the people who put us where we are today,” he wrote. “I do not personally want it myself. But it’s not always about ‘what I want.’ If the fans really want to see us together, I would do it for the fans. Sometimes you can do things for people other than yourself.”

Bach said he wanted to write the letter in response to current SKID ROW singer Johnny Solinger‘s interview in which Johnny said a tweet by Bach about a possible SKID ROW reunion was an attempt to “get attention.”

Speaking to SCTimes.com, Bolan stated about Sebastian‘s departure from SKID ROW, “We thought we were disbanded and that we’d never do it again. Then we kept getting e-mails and the management office was getting lots of letters about people wanting to see SKID ROW on stage and we really started to miss it. We knew if we got back together, we were going to do things different.”

He added, “When Johnny joined the band [in 1999], that really gave us a kick in the ass. It was a different guy there and everything that came out of that guy was positive.”

On the topic of the persistent rumors of a reunion with Sebastian, Bolan said, “Actually, there were never any talks. Ever. That was all just total rumor. We got rid of him in the ’90s and never looked back. . . After the first tour [with Solinger on vocals], it seemed like this is the way it’s always been. It’s so weird, I’ll hear an old song on the radio and it just sounds so bizarre to me because I’m so used to Johnny singing it.”

The Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor is set for Thursday, May 15 at LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. Honoring and lampooning SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR vocalist Corey Taylor will be nearly a dozen musicians and comedians, led by Roastmaster Sebastian Bach. The third annual event in Revolver and Guitar World‘s Rock & Roll Roast Comedy Series — and first to be held in the heartland — launches the weekend-long festivities forRock On The Range (May 16-18), which last year drew rock fans from around the country to Columbus Crew Stadium with over 105,000 tickets sold.

Joining Sebastian Bach on the dais to take aim at Taylor will be an all-star group of musicians and comedians, including Jim Florentine, Don Jamieson, Craig Gass, Brian Posehn, Taylor‘s SLIPKNOT bandmate M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Scott Ian, Pearl Aday, and actor/comedian Finesse Mitchell. Jose Mangin (of SiriusXM and “Headbangers Ball” fame) will also be on hand to serve as the evening’s official DJ and emcee.

Tickets for the Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor are on sale now starting at $75 (plus fees) at LC Pavilion, all Ticketmaster outlets and online at Ticketmaster.com. General admission and balcony seating are available. Doors for the May 15 event will open at 8:30 p.m., and the Roast begins at 9:00 p.m.

“Honestly, I don’t know what to say. I’m a little nervous, a little excited, and of course a little gassy. But that could just be the excitement,” says Taylor. “I’m really looking forward to it, but knowing my friends and the possibilities for who could be a part of this, I have no idea what I’m getting into!”

In a career now spanning 15 years, Corey Taylor has enjoyed chart-topping success, both with his face masked for Grammy-winning metal powerhousesSLIPKNOT and his soul bared for multiple Grammy nominees STONE SOUR. Taylor has authored a pair of best-selling books (“Seven Deadly Sins” and “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Heaven”), and makes his acting debut later this year alongside horror icon Robert Englund in Anchor Bay‘s “Fear Clinic”. That impressive and varied resume only provides more fodder for the Roasters to devour, though.

Roastmaster Sebastian Bach says: “I really look forward to roasting my good buddy Corey Taylor in Columbus, Ohio this May. Corey is right now following my lead becoming the brand-new pretty boy frontman of heavy metal. Oh wait… he’s wearing a mask. See you soon!”

“After an incredible launch for our Comedy Tent last year, we are excited that Revolver and Guitar World are bringing their Roast brand to Rock On The Range as we extend the experience another day,” says Danny Wimmer, co-executive producer of Rock On The Range for Danny Wimmer Presents.

Corey Taylor has been waving the rock flag higher than anyone has over the past decade. What better way to honor one of rock’s biggest stars than to make him uncomfortable on stage?”

A portion of the proceeds from the Monster Energy Roast On The Range With Corey Taylor will benefit MusiCares, a nonprofit organization founded by The Recording Academy to provide a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need, including emergency financial and medical assistance, addiction recovery services, and more.

Previous honorees in the Rock & Roll Roast Comedy Series include Zakk Wylde (2012) and Dee Snider (2013).

Professionally filmed video footage of former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach‘ September 19 performance at the Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil can be seen below.

Acclaimed drummer Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, RIOT, SEBASTIAN BACH, FATES WARNING) recently finished laying down drum tracks for 12 songs on the new solo album from Sebastian Bach. The CD is being recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER), who helmed Bach‘s last solo CD, 2011′s “Kicking & Screaming”.

The guitars on Bach‘s new album will be performed by Devin Bronson (AVRIL LAVIGNE, PINK) and Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL). There will also be songwriting contributions from guitarist John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE, ex-MARILYN MANSON), who co-wrote the song “TunnelVision” on “Kicking & Screaming”. Making a guest appearance on the CD will be bassist Duff McKagan (DUFF MCKAGAN’S LOADED, VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N’ ROSES).

Bach previously stated about his new material: “It is going to be balls-out, kick-ass rock ‘n’ roll with tons of vocal histrionics and harmonies especially… I am going to really concentrate on harmonies and pushing my voice to the maximum you have ever heard it pushed. The riffs are crazy and cool.”

Bach‘s brand new CD/DVD package, “ABachalypse Now”, was released in North America on March 26 via Frontiers Records. The “ABachalypse Now” Ultimate CD/DVD Edition includes never-before-seen footage from last year’s Graspop Metal Meeting festival in Dessel, Belgium, the full never-before-seen Hellfest set from France and the fully-remixed and remastered Nokia show from Los Angeles (originally broadcast on AXS TV), as well as bonus music videos. The DVD contains a running time of nearly 160 minutes. “ABachalypse Now” was made available in two configurations: the Ultimate CD/DVD Edition (2 CDs + DVD) and a standalone DVD.

Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach joined SIN CITY SINNERS on stage this past Saturday, September 14 at Count’s Vamp’d Rock Bar & Grill in Las Vegas, Nevada to perform a number of classic rock tracks, including MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s “Live Wire”. Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

After Bach revealed in a a three-word tweet to a fan on August 29 that he was asked to join MÖTLEY CRÜE more than two decades ago, CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx quickly retorted that Bach‘s version of events never happened. Sebastian then took to his Facebook page to describe in some detail the circumstances behind his being asked to join the CRÜE, which included taking part in a full day’s rehearsal with the band and a slew of phone calls between various managers, agents and label executives. “I was driven to rehearsal by Tommy Lee, and I spent a full day singing the MÖTLEY CRÜE set with the band MÖTLEY CRÜE,” Bach wrote. “I remember the songs that Nikki asked me to sing that day. I remember the whole road crew’s ecstatic reaction to us jamming together all day. And I remember Nikki‘s very generous, kind offer, at the end of our rehearsal, for me to join the band MÖTLEY CRÜE. I remember his exact words that he said to me in front of his whole road crew, Tommy and Mick [Mars] as well. It’s not every day that your hero asks you to join his band.”

Bach didn’t reveal the full details of what went down that day, promising his Facebook followers that he “will tell the complete story of Nikki offering me to join MÖTLEY CRÜE in my upcoming book, which will be arriving on bookshelves soon.”

He added: “I am not simply ‘making this up’… I am not a liar. I am working on my book right now and I look forward to you all reading it. I plan on my book having even more information in it than one of my tweets does.”

On Friday (September 13), Nikki tweeted what appeared to be a short response to Bach‘s online rant: “Someone needs attention to try and sell some books.” He then added: “I always liked the term ‘washed up.’”

Sebastian Bach has posted a link to a 1994 interview with MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx which the former SKID ROW singer apparently feels supports Bach‘s claim that he was once asked to replace Vince Neil as the frontman of MÖTLEY CRÜE.

“Here is a fascinating interview with @nikkisixx where he describes the band MÖTLEY CRÜE rehearsing with Sebastian Bach. Enjoy!” Sebastian wrote on his Facebook page, before following it up with: “ABSOLUTLEY TRUE. @nikkisixx tells it like it is! Sebastian Bach Book on Book Shelves Soon… #ForTheWin #NoBullshit #Oops #YouCantMakeThisStuffUp #IAintMadAtYa #NotLying #ItsOK #SomeoneOwesSomeoneAnApology #ThanksForTheHype #IRememberYou”

In the above-mentioned clip (which can be seen below; skip to 3:50 mark), Nikki can be heard telling host Riki Rachtman of MTV‘s “Headbanger’s Ball”: “We said we owed it to ourselves to at least see what it felt like [to have a different singer]. At times when Vince was out of town or off doing whatever he was into doing, Sebastian Bach would come down and hang out with us. And we’d be rehearsing. We need a singer to rehearse. So he’d sing. Steve Perry from JOURNEY came down one time just to hang out and meet everybody. And he was singing. So we kind of had a feeling what it would be like to have a different singer. And we said, the least we could do is try it on for size before we, you know, end it. And we met John [Corabi] and it was magic.”

Neil was fired from MÖTLEY CRÜE in 1992 due to personal differences and was replaced by John Corabi. With Corabi on vocals, MÖTLEY CRÜE released one critically acclaimed full-length CD, which ended up being a commercial failure in the wake of grunge despite a Top-Ten placing on the album chart.

Acclaimed drummer Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, RIOT, SEBASTIAN BACH, FATES WARNING) has finished laying down drum tracks for 12 songs on the new solo album from former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach. The CD is being recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER), who helmed Bach‘s last solo CD, 2011′s “Kicking & Screaming”.

A short video message from the studio can be seen below.

Says Bach: “We have a special bass player playing on this record, but we’re not allowed to say who it is yet, because he’s so important. But every one of you know who he is. And stay tuned for the announcement on who’s playing the bass in your face.”

The riffs are crazy and cool.”

Asked if he feels “Kicking & Screaming” got enough credit from the rock community and the fans, Bach told “The Classic Metal Show” in a recent interview: “Yeah. To be on the Billboard chart again is enough credit for me. I like being on the chart. It’s cool that I can put out an album that competes on the charts in this day and age.

He added: “I’m not trying to remind anybody of the past; that’s the opposite of what I’m trying to do. I never was doing that.

“I don’t understand the nostalgia factor of rock and roll fans at all. When SKID ROW came out in 1989, we weren’t singing songs that were 20 years old, we were singing songs that we just wrote. That’s what I’m doing today; that’s what I was doing then. So I don’t get that whole idea at all.”

Asked by Italian web radio Linearock.it in a June 2012 interview what the reason is for the frequent lineup changes in his solo band, Bach said, “It’s a very easy answer. It’s all to do with finance. If you get paid a certain amount of money, you can’t pay to play… If I tell a guy in my band, ‘This is what we’re getting. We all have to split it.’ Some guys will be like, ‘Fuck that!’ And I’m like, ‘You know what?! Bye!’ [laughs] ‘Cause it’s a business. When you see me change bandmembers, it’s usually a business decision.”

Friday afternoon is the perfect time for some hair metal drama. Sebastian Bach has historically been known to talk a lot of crap. In all fairness, the dude seems harmless and like a funny guy for the brief few minutes we talked on the red carpet of the Golden Gods. Turns out now he's going around …
