Southern California juggernauts IMPENDING DOOM will release their new album, “Death Will Reign”, on November 5 via eOne Music. Recorded, produced and mixed by Will Putney at The Machine Shop (SUICIDE SILENCE, LAMB OF GOD), this is the band’s most ferocious material to date.

IMPENDING DOOM have never sounded uglier and more desperate than on ‘Death Will Reign’,” says Alternative Press.

IMPENDING DOOM has crafted a stunning, deliberate and unrelenting collection with a sense of purpose, drive and continuity. “Death Will Reign” is the culmination of all that has come before, mining the bleak darkness and “scare” factor of last year’s “Baptized in Filth” and the dynamic fury of “There Will Be Violence” and “The Serpent Servant”. All of those elements are injected with the return of the gritty rawness found within the unpolished grind of “Nailed. Dead. Risen”, IMPENDING DOOM‘s squealing cult-classic debut that introduced the world to their unique combination of reverent worship and sick gore-core, dubbed Goreship.

“We wanted this album to sound very natural and unpolished,” explains IMPENDING DOOM‘s longtime bassist David Sittig, a part of the lineup since before the first album’s release. “There’s no crazy digital stuff. There are no fake drums. We wanted it to have the feel of our first album with the songwriting from the last one. We’ve gotten better at song structures and so forth over the years, but we wanted to recapture that old-school vibe, too.”

IMPENDING DOOM‘s fourth full-length album, “Baptized In Filth”, sold 4,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 106 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released on March 13, 2012, the CD was produced by Andreas Magnusson (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, THE FAMINE) and was mixed by Machine, who has previously worked with LAMB OF GOD, SUICIDE SILENCE and DEMON HUNTER, among others.

“Sounds Of A Playground Fading”, the video for the title track of the tenth studio album from Swedish metallers IN FLAMES, can be seen below. The clip, which is made up of concert footage, was produced by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among others.

IN FLAMES will play a very special show at the Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm, Sweden on September 27. Gröna Lund had in fact closed their park for the season, but when they got word that IN FLAMES was available, they decided to re-open the park, just for this concert.

“Sounds Of A Playground Fading” (Century Media) sold around 14,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 27 on The Billboard 200 chart.

IN FLAMES‘ previous album, “A Sense of Purpose” (Koch) opened with 20,000 units to land at No. 28. This was slightly less than the opening tally of “Come Clarity” (Ferret), which shifted just under 24,000 copies in February 2006 to enter the chart at position No. 58.

“Sounds Of A Playground Fading” was the first IN FLAMES album to be recorded without founding guitarist Jesper Strömblad, who quit the band in February 2010 in order to continue receiving treatment for his alcohol addiction.

IN FLAMES guitarist Niclas Engelin recently sat out a few of the band’s shows. His temporary replacement for those gigs was Patrik Jensen from THE HAUNTED.

Razor & Tie announces the addition of Hatebreed to its North American label roster. The band has completed work on its forthcoming new studio album which will be released in January, 2013 on Razor & Tie in United States/Canada and on Nuclear Blast in Europe and various additional international territories.

The new album will be the band’s 6th official album to date, and the follow up to Hatebreed’s self-titled album and also the covers album, “For The Lions” (both released in 2009). Hatebreed lead vocalist Jamey Jasta comments, “We’re really excited to be working with such great people at both Razor & Tie and Nuclear Blast. We’ve made an awesome album and we’re chomping at the bit to get it out and hit the road. Global domination begins now.”

In a joint statement, Pete Giberga VP of A&R and John Franck SVP of Marketing for Razor & Tie comment, “Hatebreed’s anthems coupled with their do-or-die work ethic continues to make them a dominant force in hardcore and metal today. Their inclusionary message and deep relationship with their fan-base also makes them a band that is built for these times. With the group playing some of the best shows of its career, their renewed sense of purpose has never sounded more steadfast and resolute than it does on this forthcoming new record.”

The forthcoming new album was co-produced by Hatebreed, Zeuss (Suicide Silence, All That Remains, Shadows Fall), and Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold). Wilbur also handled mixing duties on the new record. The new studio album will be supported by extensive global touring that will stretch well into 2014.
