“Meanwhile, the dragons have not been lazy, and we’ve used to time to hunt high and low for a new keyboard player… and well, we are happy to announce that we have found one in Manuel Hartleb! Thus, please welcome Manuel as the newest member of DRAGONY, and we are sure that with his classical piano background, he will be a great asset to the Unicorn Union!

Kittie has revealed the first of many behind the scenes clips of the band hard at work on the upcoming record “I’ve Failed You,” which is due out August 30th. You can check out the clip below.

The band will “I’ve Failed You” on August 30th, 2011 via eOne Music. For this effort, Kittie enlisted the talents of Siegfried “Siggy” Meier at Beach Road Studios in Goderich Ontario who took on producing rolls.

Kittie recently shot a music video for the new song “We Are The Lamb” last month in New York. “‘We Are The Lamb is the first single and is about as musically devastating as we get. It is a tale of self sacrifice, to give those you love a chance to grow and learn to live for themselves. I cannot express to you how proud of this album we are. ‘I’ve Failed You’ is real, honest, angry and ugly,” says front woman Morgan Lander.

The album’s track listing and artwork can be viewed below.

1. I’ve Failed You
2. We Are The Lamb
3. Whisper of Death
4. What Have I Done
5. Empires (Part 1)
6. Empires (Part 2)
7. Come Undone
8. Already Dead

Metal Injection gives you the exclusive first look at the brand new Fuck the Facts video for the track “Wake”. Off of Fuck the Facts’ self-released Unnamed EP

About the director:
Fuck The Facts ‘Wake’ video was created by Copenhagen based director Michael Panduro (Siegfried Productions). Panduro has previously made music videos for technical math metal band Psyopus & Denmark’s indie pop band No And The Maybes. Regarding the making of the video, Panduro states “I’m doing my best to make videos that are different from what you’d expect in these genres” adding that “…making videos for bands that live around the world, makes it near impossible for me to make simple performance videos.” Panduro is currently working as director of photography on the Danish Zombie film “Opstandelsen” (Ressurection) that’ll be finished in 2010. View trailer here

Fuck The Facts ‘Unnamed’ EP was released independently by the band on February 21st 2010 as a limited edition 7″ and digital download.

Siegfried’s sound is more epic and cinematic than vocalist Sandra Schleret’s other band Elis, and they feature three vocalists, each one portraying a different character in the album’s concept. The gruff male vocals, melodic male singing and female singing all receive ample exposure..

The arrangements are very lush and symphonic, with layers of strings and orchestral instruments lending atmosphere to the metal guitar riffs. The harsh male vocals are very urgent and raspy, almost to the point of distraction on “Fafnir,” but more ominous and fitting the songs elsewhere. All the lyrics are in German, so unless you speak the language, the epic tales of the album aren’t understandable.

Promoting an album can be a lot of work, but for Sandra Schleret she’s had to do twice the promotion. Both of her bands released CDs on the same day. She’s been in Siegfried for quite a while, and their latest album is Nibelung. Schleret has been Elis’ vocalist since 2006, and Catharsis is her first full-length with the band. She gives us the scoop on both albums, being in two bands at once, her musical beginnings and more. Her bandmate Brother Cle also answers a couple of questions related to Siegfried.

Chad Bowar: What was the selection process for you joining Elis in 2006?
Sandra Schleret: The guys announced on their homepage that they were searching for a singer and so I sent them my application (consisting of a letter and a CD). Some time after they called me and invited me to rehearse together. We had really great fun, and for me from that day on it was clear that I wanted to join Elis. They had to listen to some more applicants, and afterwards they called me and told me that they wanted to work with me. I was really happy, because the guys are very nice and I definitely enjoy making music together.

Give us a preview of the band’s latest CD Catharsis.
Catharsis is darker and heavier than the previous albums. We paid more attention to the guitar work, and of course we will have multi-layered vocal arrangements. The songs are very diversified and catchy, and there also will be two German tracks.
