Quality fan-filmed video footage of STEEL PANTHER‘s March 12 performance at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands can be seen below.

STEEL PANTHER is the ’80s metal/hard rock tribute band formerly known as METAL SKOOL. Onstage, the band both pays tribute to and lampoons the heyday of ’80s glam metal. The group’s between-song comedy includes jests at conflict between bandmembers, discussions of drugs, sex, and improvised humor with the crowd.

Regarding naysayers that say STEEL PANTHER is a joke-metal band, the group’s drummer Stix Zadinia told the South Bend Tribune: “Listen to our record and tell us that our songs aren’t better than most of the bands out there. How funny is that? At the end of the day, it comes down to the songs. I think our songs — without sounding egotistical — I think our songs are great. When you hear the hooks in our songs, you hear the playing and you hear the vocals, you throw that up against any band in any era, and I think it stands up.”

STEEL PANTHER will release its third full-length album, “All You Can Eat”, in the United States on April 1 on Open E Records via Kobalt Label Services (KLS). The 12-song CD, which was produced by Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, ADRENALINE MOB), is available for pre-order at SteelPantherRocks.com.

“Worse Than War”, the new video from Denver thrashers HAVOK, can be seen below. Directed by Roy Warner, who worked on the band’s “From The Cradle To The Grave” and “Point Of No Return” clips, the video addresses the eight stages of genocide: classification, symbolization, dehumanization, organization, polarization, preparation, extermination and denial.

“Worse Than War” comes off HAVOK‘s latest album, “Unnatural Selection”, which was released in June via Candlelight Records. The ten-song CD was produced by David Sanchez, with mixing handled by Terry Date (PANTERA, OVERKILL, DEFTONES). It features original artwork from Polish illustrator Rafal Wechterowicz (SLAYER, MASTODON) and was mastered by James Murphy (ABORTED, WORLD UNDER BLOOD, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS).

“Unnatural Selection” is a far more mature collection of songs when compared to “Burn” (2009), and “Time Is Up” (2011). HAVOK has truly hit their mark with a sound that will please fans new and old. Another standout is the band’s rendition of the BLACK SABBATH classic “Children Of The Grave”.

“Unnatural Selection” track listing:

01. I Am The State
02. Give Me Liberty… Or Give Me Death
03. It Is True
04. Under the Gun
05. Waste of Life
06. Untitled
07. Chasing the Edge
08. Worse Than War
09. Children of the Grave
10. Unnatural Selection

HAVOK is guitarist/vocalist Dave Sanchez, bassist Mike Leon, guitarist Reece Scruggs, and drummer Pete Webber.

“100 Beers With A Zombie”, the new video from PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION, the Houston, Texas-based thrash metal outfit that features D.R.I. singer Kurt Brecht and members of DEAD HORSE, can be seen below. The song comes off PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION‘s self-titled debut, which was released on April 9 via Minus Head Records. The 13-song CD was recorded at the Music Lab in Austin and features guest vocals from Tony Foresta (MUNICIPAL WASTE) and Argo (DEAD HORSE).

“Fans of D.R.I. and DEAD HORSE will rejoice. PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION is what thrash metal should sound like in 2013,” said Brecht.

“Working together with some of the members of Texas based cult band DEAD HORSE, we have come up with some hard-hitting tunes that span genres and will withstand the test of time.”

Brecht asked Foresta in 2011 if he would consider helping out on the PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION CD. There was also talk of Brecht making a guest appearance on an upcoming release from Tony‘s side project IRON REAGAN.

“I had one tune on the album that I was really having problems with,” said Brecht. “I was not happy with my lyrics or the delivery on the studio recording. I knew the song deserved better. Tony wrote new words and changed the phrasing to really save the day.”

PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION is:

Kurt Brecht (D.R.I.) – Vocals
Greg Martin (DEAD HORSE) – Guitar/Backing Vocals
Ronnie Guyote (DEAD HORSE) – Drums/Backing Vocals
Scott Sevall (DEAD HORSE) – Guitar/Backing Vocals
Bubba D. (VERBAL ABUSE) – Bass/Backing Vocals
