ALTER BRIDGE will release a new live CD, DVD and Blu-ray entitled “Live In Milan” in early June. The show was taped at the legendary Mediolanum Forum in Milan, Italy on November 12, 2013 in front of a sold-out crowd of over 10,000 fans. Shot in beautiful HD with 18 cameras and directed by award-winning filmmaker and longtime ALTER BRIDGE director Daniel E. Catullo III, the show includes 18 songs off all four of the band’s studio albums. One of the tracks, an acoustic rendition of the ALTER BRIDGE song “Watch Over You”, features a special guest appearance by HALESTORM‘s Lzzy Hale.

A trailer for “Live In Milan” can be seen below.

ALTER BRIDGE celebrated its 10th anniversary on January 6 with the release of “Alter Bridge X”, a massive, 27-disc box set that was limited to just 3,000 copies worldwide. The set includes all four ALTER BRIDGE studio albums, along with DVD, Blu-ray, and vinyl audio copies of “Live From Amsterdam” and “Live At Wembley”, including a 3D version of the latter. Also in the box was every webisode to date, hours of unreleased interviews and documentary footage, a coffee table book, a signed poster, and much more.

The complete set contains 16 DVDs/Blu-rays, seven CDs and four vinyl discs.

The hardcover coffee table book contains more than 100 pages of exclusive photos spanning the group’s decade-long career.

The 3,000 copies were split between 1,500 for Europe, 1,000 for the U.S. and 500 for the rest of the world.

ALTER BRIDGE recently completed a headlining tour of Europe in support of its latest album, “Fortress”, which featured the Active Rock Top 15 single “Addicted To Pain”.

ALTER BRIDGE was started by the three instrumental members of CREED and guitarist Mark Tremonti told The Pulse Of Radio how ex-MAYFIELD FOUR singer Myles Kennedy became the final piece of the puzzle. “When we first started the band, we were desperately looking for a singer, and my buddy had brought me a MAYFIELD FOUR CD and, you know, hearing the CD, I was blown away — this guy’s, you know, not doing anything right now and he’s this good?” he said. “I made demos and sent ’em his way, and he sang over them and he seemed to be into the songs and we loved what he did and he flew down January 2, 2004, and we’ve been a band ever since.”

John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant came together in 1968 as LED ZEPPELIN. Over the next decade, the band would become one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music, selling more than 300 million albums worldwide. Their songs are some of the most celebrated in rock ‘n’ roll history that, to this day, resonate with fans young and old around the globe. Still, no matter how many times you may have listened to their music, you’ve never heard LED ZEPPELIN like this before.

With the June 3 release of deluxe editions of “Led Zeppelin”, “Led Zeppelin II” and “Led Zeppelin III”, the band will launch an extensive reissue program of all nine of its studio albums in chronological order, each remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page. LED ZEPPELIN will also open its vaults to share dozens of unheard studio and live recordings, with each album featuring a second disc of companion audio comprised entirely of unreleased music related to that album.

“The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording of LED ZEPPELIN,” says Page. “It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions, and new material recorded at the time”

“Led Zeppelin”, “Led Zeppelin II” and “Led Zeppelin III” will each be available June 3 from Atlantic/Swan Song in the following formats:

* Single CD – Remastered album packaged in a gatefold card wallet.

* Deluxe Edition (2CD) – Remastered album, plus a second disc of unreleased companion audio.

* Single LP – Remastered album on 180-gram vinyl, packaged in a sleeve that replicates the LP’s first pressing in exacting detail. (For example, “III” will feature the original wheel and die cut holes.)

* Deluxe Edition Vinyl – Remastered album and unreleased companion audio on 180-gram vinyl.

* Digital Download – Remastered album and companion audio will both be available.

* Super Deluxe Boxed Set – This collection includes:

– Remastered album on CD in vinyl replica sleeve.
– Companion audio on CD in card wallet.
– Remastered album on 180-gram vinyl in a sleeve replicating first pressing.
– Companion audio on 180-gram vinyl.
– High-def audio download card of all content at 96kHz/24 bit. (Live tracks are 48kHz/24 bit).
– Hard bound, 70+ page book filled with rare and previously unseen photos and memorabilia.
– High quality print of the original album cover, the first 30,000 of which will be individually numbered.
“Led Zeppelin” will also include a replica of the band’s original Atlantic press kit.

The LED ZEPPELIN legend began in January of 1969 with the group’s eponymous debut. From the opening salvo of “Good Times Bad Times”, on through to “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”, “Communication Breakdown” and “Dazed And Confused”, the album introduced the band’s unmistakable sound and left an indelible mark on the music landscape. “Led Zeppelin” has been certified diamond by the RIAA for sales over 10 million and was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2004.

The companion audio for “Led Zeppelin” features a previously unreleased performance recorded on October 10, 1969 at the Olympia Theatre in Paris. The nine-song set features seven tracks from the album, including an epic 15-minute version of “Dazed And Confused”, as well as “Heartbreaker” and “Moby Dick”, which would debut on “Led Zeppelin II” later that month.

The band wrote and recorded nearly all of “Led Zeppelin II” while touring relentlessly to support its debut album. Incredibly, the album was released just seven months after “Led Zeppelin” in October of 1969. “Led Zeppelin II” features some of the band’s most beloved tracks including “Ramble On” and “Heartbreaker” as well as “Whole Lotta Love”, considered by many to be one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll songs of all time. The album is certified diamond by the RIAA with sales of over 12 million copies.

The “Led Zeppelin II” companion audio gives fans the first peek into the band’s recording sessions, with alternate mixes of five songs from the album, backing tracks to “Thank You” and “Living Loving Maid (She’s Just A Woman)”, and the previously unreleased track “La La”.

Following the whirlwind success of their first two albums and near constant touring, Page and Plant took to the now famous Bron-Yr-Aur cottage in Wales in 1970 to start the early composition of “Led Zeppelin III”. They later convened with Bonham and Jones for rehearsals before entering London’s Olympic Studios to begin recording in May 1970. Fueled by classic tracks such as “Immigrant Song” and “Since I’ve Been Loving You”, the album soared to the top of charts worldwide upon its release in October of 1970 and has since been certified six times platinum.

The nine tracks featured on “Led Zeppelin III”‘s companion audio continue to offer a window into the band’s recording process with seven studio outtakes of songs from the album as well as three previously unheard compositions: “Jennings Farm Blues” (an instrumental forerunner of “Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp”), “Bathroom Sound” (an instrumental version of “Out On The Tiles”), and their take on the blues classics “Keys To The Highway/Trouble In Mind”.

LED ZEPPELIN continues to be honored for its pivotal role in music history. The band was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded with the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Founding members Jones, Page and Plant — along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham — took the stage at London’s O2 Arena in 2007 to headline a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, a dear friend and Atlantic Records‘ founder. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In January of 2014, the band won their first ever Grammy Award as “Celebration Day”, which captured their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert, was named “Best Rock Album.”

On March 10, Polish tech death masters DECAPITATED entered Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland to begin recording their sixth album. The as-yet-untitled CD is set for a release in September via Nuclear Blast.

DECAPITATED‘s forthcoming effort will mark the recording debut of the band’s new drummer, Michal Lysejko, who joined the group in time for their tour with LAMB OF GOD in January.

Commented DECAPITATED guitarist Waclaw “Vogg” Kieltyka: “We would like to share few news with you.

“All you know that we’ve been quite busy lately. We had some personal changes in the band and also we did I guess the best tours we had; with MESHUGGAH, LAMB OF GOD and CHILDREN OF BODOM.

“First of all, we want to introduce you DECAPITATED new drummer Michal Lysejko. Some of you had a chance to meet him already during tour with LAMB OF GOD this January.

“Also I want to say THANK YOU to the rest of the people who took a challenge and sent their video for an audition.

“Also, since January this year, we signed worldwide management contract with Continental Concerts & Management. That’s for sure big step and opportunity for us and big challenge.

The CD landed at position No. 11 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

“Carnival Is Forever” was released in North America on July 12, 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD’s cover art was created by Lukasz Jaszak. The follow-up to 2006’s “Organic Hallucinosis” was recorded at Radio Gdansk Studio in Poland with producer Wacek Kieltyka and engineer Arkadiusz “Malta” Malczewski. Drums were tracked with Daniel Bergstrand (BEHEMOTH, MESHUGGAH, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, DEFLESHED), who also handled mixing duties.

CANNIBAL CORPSE will wrap up its 25th-anniversary celebrations for 2013 with a pair of shows in Florida, which has served as the band’s base of operations since relocating to Tampa from Buffalo, New York in 1994. The concerts are scheduled for November 29 in Ft. Lauderdale at the Culture Room and November 30 in Tampa at the Brass Mug. Tickets will go on sale this Friday at Ticketmaster.com for the Culture Room.

Comments CANNIBAL CORPSE founding member and bassist Alex Webster: “We are very excited to be doing these shows in Florida this November.

“We formed the band in the first week of December back in 1988 so these shows will be happening almost exactly 25 years after our formation. It will be great to celebrate our band’s anniversary in the state that helped put death metal on the map. Also, we are very happy to be able play Ft. Lauderdale to make up for the show we missed there in June. And I think fans in both cities will be happy when they see the ticket price for these shows!”

Metal Blade Records has been releasing one picture disc a month from the band’s expansive catalog of releases (“Eaten Back To Life”, “Butchered At Birth”, “Tomb Of The Mutilated”, “The Bleeding”, “Vile”, “Gallery Of Suicide”, “Bloodthirst”, “Gore Obsessed”, “The Wretched Spawn”, “Kill”, “Evisceration Plague”, “Torture”). A total of 12 pictures discs will be released, covering all of the band’s full-length studio albums, some of which have never been released on picture disc.

Earlier this year, it was announced that CANNIBAL CORPSE was selected for induction in the Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame as a member of the Class of 2013. CANNIBAL CORPSE is the latest addition to the Hall Of Fame, which also includes Buffalo natives the GOO GOO DOLLS, Billy Sheehan, 10,000 MANIACS, and many more. The Class Of 2013 will be inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame at its 30th-anniversary induction gala, which will be held October 3 at the Tralf Music Hall in Buffalo.

The track “On The Verge Of Collapse” can be streamed in the YouTube clip below.

Comments the band: “This album is by far the angriest yet most diverse one we have done yet. It’s the next level for MAN MUST DIE. We couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out. It’s brutal beyond the word and yet more melodic and memorable than ever.

“With ‘Peace was Never An Option’, we really focused on the songwriting, which is really important in MAN MUST DIE‘s sound, [and] seems to be bypassed a lot in modern music.

“All the classic metal is all about the songs; this is what influences us, this is what we do.”

MAN MUST DIE are an extreme metal band hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. Formed in 2002 and originally born of the founding members’ desire to push their music to new levels of intensity and brutality, the band’s dedication to their craft has since manifested itself in a rich touring history, sharing stages with such acts as EXODUS, MACHINE HEAD and DECAPITATED.

MAN MUST DIE has released three full-length studio albums thus far: 2004’s “…Start Killing” (Retribute Records), “The Human Condition” (2007, Relapse Records) and “No Tolerance For Imperfection” (2009, Relapse Records). Their music manages to incorporate the heaviest elements of extreme metal whilst retaining an attuned sense of melody, confidently shifting from epic, uplifting passages to pure sickness. Augmented by a keen compositional flair and furious, socially aware vocals, MAN MUST DIE is a highly focused musical force.

Southern German gothic metallers CREMATORY have inked a deal with Steamhammer/SPV. The band’s new album, “Antiserum”, will be released on February 25, 2014 (one day earlier internationally).

“We’re really looking forward to our collaboration with Steamhammer/SPV, a globally renowned label and expert partner in what we’re planning for the future,” says CREMATORY drummer Markus Jüllich.

“Our fans can look forward to ‘Antiserum’, on which we have gone one step further than we did on our comeback album, ‘Revolution’, in terms of our electronic influences. In collaboration with Elmar Schmidt of Hamburg EBM act CENTHRON, we have come up with a haunting mix of metal riffs and EBM keyboards. That’s why I’d refer to ‘Antiserum’‘s musical direction as ‘EBM metal.'”

The first single from “Antiserum”, a song called “Shadowmaker”, will be released on November 22. Jüllich says: “Even before the whole record was finalized, we knew that ‘Shadowmaker’ had absolute hit potential. You’d be hard put to announce our new album better than with this song.”

On the day of the single launch, a special box set featuring CREMATORY‘s first ten studio albums in a cardboard sleeve will be made available. It is described in a press release as “an absolute must-have for all fans and collectors.”

Says Steamhammer A&R manager Olly Hahn: “I am delighted that CREMATORY have opted for SPV. They’re one of the leading bands in the gothic metal genre, and their latest album, ‘Antiserum’, impresses with its homogeneity and hit potential!”
