HALESTORM has issued an official music video for the song “Here’s To Us”, the latest single off the band’s 2012 sophomore album, “The Strange Case Of…”

The band recently recorded an alternate version of the track featuring guest appearances from Slash, SHINEDOWN‘s Brent Smith, ALTER BRIDGE‘s Myles Kennedy, DEVICE‘s David Draiman and others.

“Second Chance”, the new video from English rockers GLAMOUR OF THE KILL, can be seen below. The clip was filmed in Los Angeles with director Robby Starbuck, who has previously worked with ASKING ALEXANDRIA, ESCAPE THE FATE and SNOOP DOGG, among others.

Said GLAMOUR OF THE KILL bassist/vocalist Davey Richmond: “Working with Robby on the video was such a great experience and having the opportunity to shoot it in L.A. definitely had the added bonus of standing outside in sun with an ice-cold beer between takes. The heat turned out to be our enemy, though, as we all just looked like melting pale Yorkshiremen the second we started the performance part to the video. Fortunately, we had a great make-up team who managed to disguise this though! We all had such big ideas on how we wanted the video to look and Robby managed to capture that spot-on.”

“Second Chance” comes off GLAMOUR OF THE KILL‘s new album, “Savages”, which will be released on September 24 in the U.S. through eOne Music, September 20 in Germany and September 23 in the rest of Europe through SPV.

Produced by Joey Sturgis (ASKING ALEXANDRIA), this is the first batch of new material we’ve seen from GLAMOUR OF THE KILL since the release of “The Summoning”, which came out in 2011.

The new CD’s first single, “Break” features a guest appearance by VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE! lead singer Michael Vampire.

“Savages” track listing:

01. Break
02. Second Chance
03. The Only One
04. Live For The Weekend
05. A Freak Like Me
06. Heartbreaker
07. Rescue Me
08. Leave It All Behind
09. A Beautiful Day To Die
10. Tears Of The Sun

Fresh off a full U.S. tour with ESCAPE THE FATE and a European tour with PAPA ROACH, GLAMOUR OF THE KILL will be hitting the road with MOTIONLESS IN WHITE and THE DEFILED in the U.K. throughout September before heading back out the Europe with PAPA ROACH in November.

GLAMOUR OF THE KILL has been generating buzz ever since its debut EP, “Through The Dark They March”, came out in 2007. The success of the EP led to tours with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, DRAGONFORCE, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and most notably a performance on the main stage of Download festival in 2008.

GLAMOUR OF THE KILL is: Davey Richmond (lead vocals, bass), Chris Gomerson (guitar, backing vocals), Mike Kingswood (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Ben Thomson (drums, backing vocals).

Asking Alexandria: The UK’s bright young hopes?

Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce reckons the globe-conquering metalcore crew’s new album is mixing up some pretty interesting influences.

“There’s a lot of heavy riffage on this record, whereas in the past we relied more on rhythms and breakdowns,” he muses. “So in that respect it’s very much like old Slipknot,” he tells Guitar World. “But then the choruses and a lot of the bridges are more rock-based, which is our Mötley Crüe side.”

Slipknot vs Mötley Crüe. Interesting…

“The album is by no means a regurgitation of the Eighties,” he adds. “If kids buy this record thinking it’s going to sound like Girls Girls Girls, it doesn’t fucking sound like Girls Girls Girls. It sounds like Asking Alexandria.”

The new AA opus was recorded with producer Joey Sturgis at Foundation Recording Studios in Indiana and will be released in the first half of 2013 via Sumerian. The band play four huge, sold-out homecoming shows on these shores this and next month with While She Sleeps, Motionless In White and Betraying The Martyrs. Be proud, UK. We have a young metal band that are selling out Academy venues in 2013. Not bad at all.

Charlotte, North Carolina act A Hero A Fake has announced the band’s third album, “The Future Again,” will see release on July 17th, 2012.

This most recent accomplishment was recorded by Jamie King (Between The Buried and Me, Wretched) at The Basement Recording NC, who also recorded the band’s two previous Victory Records releases, “Volatile” (2008) and “Let Oceans Lie” (2010). Cameron Mizell completed the mixing and Joey Sturgis did the mastering.

Guitarist Eric Morgan commented, “This album started from scratch, which was quite refreshing as the previous two albums were taken from material I had written when I was 18. Evan Kirkley re-joined us on Drums and is incredible along with the addition of Chris Rosser on bass who contributed greatly to the writing process. Our goal was to make our ideas as massive, forceful, and engaging as possible and we couldn’t be more excited about how the new songs turned out. It took over a year of writing and reworking before we were able to bring the new songs into the studio, and it was that extra time that helped in defining our new direction.”

A Hero A Fake will be on tour this summer and throughout the year and pre-order packages for “The Future Again” are available through the Victory Records webstore here.
