Melodic technical metal band Subversion comes back swinging from a short hiatus with a new sound, new label, and a taste for blood. Rogue Records America is proud to announce the signing of Subversion for a two album deal for publishing and distribution, which includes a bundle with the new album and the band’s previous EP. Dean Martinetti of Rogue Records comments: “I remember hearing Subversion a while back, actually putting them on one of our compilations Songs in the Key of D and thinking how much I’d love to work with them one day… well that day has finally come and I am super excited.

After announcing the band was going on hiatus late last year, Subersion has now checked in with the following announcement about officially calling it quits:

“It has been a wonderful 4 years and a difficult past couple of months but alas we have come to a point where it is time to say goodbye for the foreseeable future from Subversion.

“We won’t leave without a present for all you loyal fans (our Subversionites) who have followed us to the end and indeed been here from the very beginning.

“Here is a track we were working on for what would have been our second album. It is a work in progress, and we do plan on completing it before fully parting ways.

“To all the people who have helped us along the way, the people we have met at our shows, and indeed the amazing bands we had the pleasure of sharing a stage with. This ones for you! Over and out from the Subversionaut’s =)”

Kintral will finally release it’s third full-length album, “Subversion,” in early 2012. The Chilean band has been streaming songs from it over on MySpace, where you may also check out material from it’s previous release “Introversion From Insane Sceneries.” Kintral have an interesting hybrid style, at times lugubrious goth and other instances with hints of industrial music. Recently, Juan Quinteros (vocalist/7-string guitarist) won the first prize at the annual Art Faculty contest at the University of Chile for his composition “Io.” The song, about Jupiter’s moon, will be interpreted by the Chilean Symphonic Orchestra in it’s 2012 repertoire. Here is an upload of 30-second previews of the songs from “Subversion.”
